kinda looks like the EM1 and Shutter mooshed into one gun...without the Electropneumatics..

Looks better than the shutter IMO. Vertical feed (try it once and you'll never go back) no regulator that you'll end up replacing anyhow, no zebra bolt (which from friends I've heard is a dirt magnet) and looks kinda sleeker without the sight rail (which can be taken off a shutter though). To me it looks like a gun that will perform as well or better than a shutter, at less cost. Looks great to me

Is it just me or does the dropforward go DOWN instead of forward? I mean, the Shutter's dropforward is nothing to write home about, but it looks like the one on the xtra doesn't go forward any farther, just down. Another move by Kingman that's great for marketing, not so great for performance. TL, don't feel bad about getting the TL before the Shutter came out. Seems it would have all been replaced anyway, by reading your signature. Does kingmanusa.com have this up yet? Oh heck, I'll just go look myself.

OH MY GOD!!!.... A NEW GUN!!!!.....HOLD ME BACK!!! Wow, lets all gawk over the vertical feed, thats new. Ooooo, the anodizing, how new. Looks like Kingman just crammed a bunch of their old guns into one and gave it a new name. And whoever said the price will be low....I doubt that. :eek: :eek:

bet it will, no reg, no sight rail, and no zebra bolt. Plus, vertical feed does make a big big difference, so I wouldnt go so far as to say this gun isnt an improvement, I think it's very smart for them to ahve gone vertical

Yeah, but ElTwitcho, what does that tell you when one of the largest manufacturers of guns (probably THE largest) is the last to put vertical feed on a gun? Id say Kingman has some catching up to do. Im proud to say that my gun was the first to have vertical feed! :D

I think the millenium has you beat :) Though the GT is a nice gun (sturdy as a mofo) as well. And you do indeed have a good point about Kingman catching up, but at least they're trying :) You dont usually see alot of ground breaking innovations in blowbacks anyway, most of the real neat stuff came out first on high end guns, but it would be nice to see Kingman produce a truly revolutionary gun, rather than just sorta slightly modifying guns and puttin em out. Oh well, I just think it looks pretty good, and I'm hopin will be cheaper than the shutter

This gun has all the options i was gonna get with the TL Plus and has vertical feed. This gun is awesome and its only 169.

i was thinking about getting a this sweet TL+ pkg. but after seeing the XTRA im reconsidering. does anyone have first-hand experience wiht the TL+ or this gun, and by the way, the XTRA is out already(but you all probably knew that) see a pic at http://www.paintballgear.com

i think it's out already for sale, it's $140 (if my memory serves me correctly) and i saw it in like apple green, it looks like a java green, i thought it was cool, i told my brother to check it out if he gets rid of his m98. i think he'll take the piranha vtl(g2 or g3) instead 'cuz he wants to do all his own upgrades. but i think it looks like a cool gun, however it has lots of basic upgrades that'll be upgraded anyways. like the drop forward and barrel. as for always being behind in guns i'd say buy a basic gun or classic gun and upgrade it. it's like buying an old classic car instead of waiting for the newest model to come out and paying much more. well thats what i did.

They're similar in price(although with the extra out now the tl+ will most likely go down in price) and have mostly the same features except the vert feed, new rear cocking L shaped knob, rubber grips, and the "drop forward". Don't be fooled by Kingman's ad, this gun is green and chrome colored not silver and grey.
