I am rather new to this site compared to some people. I've been here for like 4 0r 5 moths now, and I'm already sick of people bashing things they haven't used. There is a thread that really makes me mad about a bko vs omen. There were two users whose names i won't mention, that bashed the omen left and right, saying completely false things about it. like "it doesn't have anit-chop", or "a bko could be better with less money". I proved them wrong on both of these but one of the people used a poorly set up omen, and the other one hasn't used one at all, let alone knows anything about it.
It's not just this one thread that gets me, there are others too. People need to learn how to give good advice and not bash things they haven't used or know nothing about. So maybe if a mod see's somthing like this, and its completely obvious the person hasn't used, or knows nothing about the topic, he could warn them, or close the thread if it goes too far.
Sorry about my ranting, its just very irratating.

Just because it doesn't help you doesn't mean that it still isn't about the topic. Other times..well...people are stupid. Stupidity isn't a crime. Just use good judgment. If you're not really sure, do what Caleb said. Just report it anyway and we'll take a look and go from there. Another option you could use is PMing the mod of that forum or a SuperMod about your concern.
Look folks, don't just ignore them. This is your site too so help keep it clean. If that means 10 reports a day, then do it. If you ignore a cut it will get infected and everything will suck in the long run. Same here. If we ignore the stupidity we can't cure it. We'll get rid of the trash a lot faster with you guys help then we will going through every single post one at a time. So hit that report button. That is what it's there for after all. So help us help you and let us know if you have a problem so we can fix it. That's our job and we have no problems with taking out the trash.

i don't really see a problem with someone bashing something else.(unless it is excessive.) Noone always says the right thing either.
These forums are for people to state their opinions, not to be denied the right to state them.

I agree to a point. I like to have a good time and poke fun every now and then too. There is a very fine line between humor and insult. On the premise that someone just crossed that line unintentionally, we normally let it go. However, normally you can tell the difference between that and simply bashing someone. On the rare occurrence that we can't tell, we send a warning. The one's that "just made a mistake" end up saying something along the lines of..."sorry my bad...it won't happen again". One's on purpose send replies like "you (insert swear here) Mods!!! This place(insert swear here) sucks...bla bla bla....he started it...bla bla bla..(insert swear here, here and here)...bla bla bla." Being a new Mod here I've learned to see the difference real quick.
As for opinions, I agree 100% that everyone has the God given right to theirs and to voice it. I know I do. However, there is a difference between being opinionated and saying what you believe and just being an a-hole. There is no need to offend people by your opinions. Then you get two of those going back and forth and all you end up with is SPAM. No good debates over facts or personal experiences, just "you're stupid" "no YOU'RE stupid" "well you're (insert swear here) stupid" back and forth for pages. Then we close it and then get ready for the millions of PM's asking why we closed it. *shakes head*
And yes you can report Mods. ;) Someone reported me a little while back....I yelled at my self for a half hour and sent a real nasty warning PM to myself. :eyes:
Seriously...if you have a problem with a Mod PM a Super. A problem with a super, PM Andrew or Sid.

Well, it IS pretty hard to find out if the person is lying about using a gun and it sucks or not, because you really dont know. You can only tell if they say stuff thats totally not true. People bashing products they havent used is bad. But, luckily, theres people like us that can catch them saying stupid stuff and correct them.
Im also sick of spammers...but thats another thing...
