a 6 stage is great

people may tell you to get a regulator but i wouldnt suggest it with a 98 and co2

regulators do help get the liquid out but it doesnt relay matter with co2

here are some suggestions for you

get a anti-siphon tube put in your tank and get a 4 stage x-chamber and you will bet pretty much set with a 98

I would go with the Tippman Xchamber. They make the gun look neater and that is enough for the gas to expand. I think the Tippmann is a 4 stage chamber. :eyes:

The tippmann expansion chamber is perfect. Also, it saves you the most money becomes it comes with all of the necessary parts included. Expansion chambers are necessary. You will get more shots and more consistency especially in cold whether. The first thing I do to model 98's is add a expansion chamber.

Would it be worth it if you play in warm weather?

the chamber is not expensive. I dont think that is necessary to have it in warm weather. I also think that it waste a lot of more gas when you take the tank out =] I use teh chamber because I play in the mountains and it is cold there. I recently used my Phantom in the mountains and it was absolutely helpless =( (otherwise the Phantom is great. )

You might be betteroff with nitrogen. You can get a tank for 100 bucks. Also you don't need the low presure kit because on the C98 the preasure isalready low enough. Just make sure the tank is 68cc 3000psi and your set. Also if you haven't played in Cold Weather yet the C02 without N2 or X-chamber will be a white cloud and you wont be able to see.

I recently put the Tippmann Expansion chamber on my gun, got the kit for $40.00. I have noticed a definite improvement in consistency and have had my air go farther.

Well worth the money.

The new one that everyone likes is the Pyscho Ballistics X Core 8 stage expansion chamber. It is under $20 What I recommend doing is buying the tippmann kit and then buying a different expansion chamber if you would like to chage. It does save you money by doing this. And you might even get lucky that you don't even need another hose.

Just go to County Paintball and buy the PB chamber and the Tippman vertical adapter. You can buy the VA separately, you don't need top buy the whole Tippman kit. Also, I have the Tippman X-chamber and wasn't too impressed with it playing on a cold, rainy day last week.
