Ok, the Sticky shows what paint will fit the J&J. Mine is the new one that is .688. Blaze falls right throuh it. I like Evil, but I think it may be too large.

What are dudes with newer J&J's using. The old .691 would shoot anything. I wished they still made that one or made the new one at .689, .688 is just a odd size.

I searched and saw one person saying he uses PMI's, but I do not know what size his barrel was.

If I look at the thread maybe PMI Premiums, Rps ALL STARS would work. Should I stay around the .687,688, or just stay with the small Blaze stuff.

PS I was told today buy a guy who was not sure that BLAZE is .686.

Any suggestions other then telling me to SEARCH THE THREADS WILL HELP. I hate it when someone tells someone to search in a rude manner....just ticks me off.

Thanks ALLGROWNUP

First I will say search as your question has more than likely already been answered.

Thing is if you shoot smaller paint than your barrel, your accuracy and effciancy wont be as good but its will be minimal at most.

Get whatever you can that's smaller than .689 (meaning =<.688)

right now im using midnights. They roll right through but they are a good cheap paint. I've also used big balls and Zap Primers which fit well but i wouldn't recommend them they weren't very good.

ditto on those two paints. Mostly only chronic is good from zap. Big balls were also a big let down. I'd say if ur low and strapped on cash look for some pmi premiums, I love those.

I have the J&J Ceramic 14" barrel on my Tippmann and ALL I shoot now is DraXxus Blaze & Midnight. Yes, they roll through the barrel. I am VERY VERY pleased with these paintballs throught my J&J. The accuracy is RIGHT on and Blaze are more accurate than the Midnight (better consistancy from ball to ball). I've tried Marballizers and other PMI/RPS paint that fit tighter in the barrel and I was unhappy with the accuracy (too much spin was created). The best accuacy test is at long range tagets (any ball spin has the chance to be noticed).

If you read the How to Choose the Proper Sized Barrel for Your Paintballs article in the November 2003 issue of Crossfire magazine, you'll know they also say that the roll-through-the-barrel is a good thing (for open-bolt blow-back markers).

We also use Blaze & Midnights through my stock Spyder Fenix barrel, Black Dragun's Check It barrel, my GF's Smart Parts Tear Drop barrel (on her Piranha) and my father's stock Spyder Xtra barrel....all producing outstanding accuracy and great performance. The ONLY time we get ball breaks is during high humidity or cold days.

well i was using the ceramic for quite some time.... i used pmi/rps, zap,be,vl,cheaper paints,draxxus,32 deg.,and some of i have no clue what, think it was a solid practice paint. all shot good, i found that with mine the RPS Polar ice shot best, considering it was perfect match to the barrel didnt have on break, consistant, and very accurate only problem was those freakin trees :p, anyway any paint basically works with the ceramic. And with paint that rolls right out of a barrel means its to small, which means theres excess air being pushed in front of the ball in some occasions slowing the ball down but also depends on setup and such. for the edge ill be getting one but all paint seems to work with a J&J for me. just my 2 cents
