First off, asking which is better, a piranha or spyder in a piranha owners forum, most people will probably tell you piranha. However I would recommend the TL plus. I dont know much about the sts G3 but i have an STS G2 and I am not very happy with it, because so many things go wrong with it. Someone else I know has a piranha and his has been broken for a while. One of my friends has a TL, and the other a TL plus and they have never had problems with it and it is a good gun. However, if you do decide to go for a piranha make sure you take real good care of it and oil it before and after you play.

I own a TL plus and a couple piranhas, and I chose my Piranha Pro over the TL any day. As far as reliability its the same both guns work on the same principles. If you can fix one you can fix the other. Over all comfort feel is the main reason I like the Piranhas, the grips on the TL SUCK, they have a large trigger gard that cramps my other fingers. As for reliablity both guns require the same, all I can say is my pro has never let me down.

Your choice, but I still say to forget both and go with a base marker, as you save the most money that way. :)

my brother has a tl plus and that thing sucks it chops a lot of balls and his bolt slips all the time but thats probably because hes an idiot and over oils it

All spyder bolts have only 2 O-rings, when you break a ball sometimes the ball shell gets stuck between the body of the gun and the bolt. A pain in the *** to get the shell out. The Piranha has 3 O-rings to prevent that from happening.
