I have a question. I have a Rebel LE with a 14" 32* Night Stik barrel. I was playing yesterday, and halfway
through the day, my paintballs started curving. They would fly straight and then just curve as if they were heat seaking
missiles. It was really annoying. Was this because the barrel needed to be cleaned (which it was pretty well), or the
paint was just that bad?

Most likely the barrel needed cleaning. Run a squeegee through it and mabe some water and dry it out real good. If you still have problems you may have a scratch or something in it, or your bolt may need to be cleaned.

Maybe the paint is too small a bore size for your barrel. I always do a paint check to see how the paint will work in my barrel. A paint check is when you put a paintball in the end of your barrel if it falls in its too small if it is really hard to blow out it is too big if you can shoot it out with ease its still too small. Anything in between there is perfect. This could be your solution or your balls might have been dimpled.

it could be one of those two things, or both. Clean out your barrel with water. And don't shoot cheap paint! Your only as good, as the type of paint you shoot, that is what i say.

Thanks for all of your suggestions.. I have to say, that was my first time using the Nite Styk, and it wasn't a very good impression... Should I just lay out the money for a Boomstick or do you think the difference wont be worth it?

or your velocity could be too high. My friends had problems like that before and it worked when u turn the velocity down a little

Well, I shoot about a 4" grouping with RPS paint out of my JJ ceramic. I don't think boomsticks live up to their hype. My ceramic works well on my Shutter though. A reg or HPA may also help a LOT with accuracy.

if you are pretty new stay away from the boomstick, some of the best midclass barrels would have to be the jj ceramic, lapco bigshot, and CP one piece.... hope that helps
