How quickly does it return back to 200?
Do you get shoot down?.... ie, if you rapid fire, your subsequent shots are much slower.
Just and FYI... because some people expect the need to NOT move when shooting.... is that the needle will show a drop in pressure with each shot. I would be more concerned about how quickly the HPR can return the pressure back to 200psi.
Also, if you're shooting hot, then it will pull more pressure from behind the valve and thus, the gauge will show a bigger drop in pressure.

Do you think it could be my reg?

As with mine, out of the box, the pistons in the regs were sticking.
You could do a couple things.
1. As Proraptor says, take it apart and clean the cylinder where the piston moves, along with the piston o-rings with a little rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. Then apply some lube on the cylinder wall and the piston o-rings. And reassemble.
or
2. Take it apart and manually pump the piston in the cylinder a bit...... theres not much range of movement.... but it'll "unstick" the pistons.
For disassembly pics, go to:
Tank's site (http://obdo.flipty.com/)
And go to the technical section and look for the BKO disassembly pics.

Sorry, I don't use instant messenger.
Take the HPR apart and clean the reg up. That's a good start. It's not hard. Take the necessary precautions....
ie.... don't take it apart near a sink or places where parts can get lost. Go slow and pay attention to how parts come out.... and so... you can put them back in correctly.
The pics on Tank's site is really good. study the pics.
The problem I had was a little different. The reg was letting TOO much air through and overpressuring. Now that the reg's well worked in, it's fine. Albeit still high maintenance.

Am I 100% sure this will fix your problem? No. It will require some work and troubleshooting on your part.
You have not answered my earlier question re: how quickly does the needle return back to 200psi? ie. does the needle snap back instantaneously or a slow 0.5 second climb. Also, any shootdown?
Possible causes of your problem:
1. You're shooting hot - what are you chronying?
2. HPR piston sticking
3. Impeded air flow at the valve seal on the HPR
4. Impeded airflow through the macroline
5. Impeded airflow through the pin valve of your CO2 tank or HPA tank
6. If you're using HPA, perhaps a problem with the reg on the HPA tank.
One option would be for you to call ICD tech and talk with them and they can walk you through, or send it in to them and pay them $35/hr to work on your marker if you're uncomfortable trying.

It goes back to 200psi as soon as my finger leaves the trigger. It is very fast.

Here are the answers you asked:
1. You're shooting hot - what are you chronying?
answer: when i go to a chrony it is inconsistant.

Try cleaning and lubing your regs.

Alright so i did that. it still drops. but when i turn the HPR up to 400 it shoots fine, but has a low velocity. Any suggestions?

don't run the hpr that high it's not good for the gun, run it at 200-220, and back the lpr out all the way until the gun won't shoot. then slowly turn it in taking a few shots after every turn. and chronoing every few shots until you get 280-300 fps, that seems to work best for me.

wow, no asked if you set your reg.'s correctly, so did you? Listen for leaks when your tank is on, if you didn't already....clean and lube the reg.'s. Is everything else lubed enough, ram, valve, etc.?

Ya, i know i put my reg together correctly. there are no leaks or anything.

Like I know it's cool to be a jerk and all, but chill out pro raptor. You're a jerk all the time, and it's just not fun.

I don't think he's being a jerk. Proraptor knows his stuff. He also realizes that the best way to know your stuff is to experiment and use common sense. I think he's just a little impatient with people who aren't willing to try what's been suggested.
Meh..... be teflon coated and bullet proof...... just let it slide.

Oh, maybe you misunderstood. I don't care if he's "mean" to me at all, it bothers me none. He just might try and be a little bit more patient with people who are new to their guns and the forum.
I also didn't mean to snap at pro raptor, he may be knowledgeable, and I came off as a jerk. My bad.

It's all good.
Justbunkered, it sounds like you just have to work in your reg a bit. There's a break-in period of approx 2000-3000 shots.
Also, you said the velocity was inconsistent.... what's the variance on it?
Cheers
