View Full Version : How to fill an on/off antisiphon tank?
HOw do i fill a 20 oz on/off antisiphon tank? I have 2 valves on my fill station. any elp will be great. thanks
Filling anti syphon is realy no different from filling a sdt tank except it may take a little longer.
screw the tank into the universail fill and open the valve.
open the "vent" valve to purge the tank
Take your weight reading, or zero your scale if you are using an exectronic scale with a "tear" weight feature.
close the vent valve, open up the tank valve a couple of turns, and open the "supply" valve on your fill station. You should be able to hear the CO2 going in and your scale will show an increse in weight.
Almost certanly, the tank will not "fill" to it capacity on the first fill. Close the "supply" valve, and open the "vent" valve (slowly-- you will have a good deal of pressue on this). vent about 3 oz out of the tank. (ckose the vent valve after about 3 oz bleads from the tank)
This will cool the tank a great deal.
Open the supply valve againe and watch your weight. Remember. 20 oz is 1 lb 4 oz. If your tank started at 2lb 4oz it will be "full" at 3lb 8 oz. ALWAYS USE A SCALE never guess when a tank is full!!!
When you get to the "full weight" turn off the supply valve
close the tank vavle (if you are not going to fill any more tanks)
close the on/off valve on the tank
open the vent valve, and unscrew the tank from the unversial fill adapter.
Thats it--basicly the same as a "normal" tank.
