What i like doing w/ my dad in rec ball games is what i like to call check movement. What my dad does is he gets behind a bunker that is on one of the flanks on a path. i move up to a place where i can see my dad but not the path, he peers up and gives me a thumbs up after inspecting the area. I then move up a little to the next bend in the path. My dad moves and finds a bunker or something to protect him and he will inspect the area and then i will move up. so on and so on.

We use a similar tactic we call "leap frogging." Where one person moves to a bunker, then covers for the people behind him who advance to a bunker further up the field. this is really cool when you have five or more people, it almost resembles a snake slithering up the field.

I only really use that tactic when retreating. We just walk/run in formation, but I find that leap-frogging when theres no one around just slows us down. But if the point man sees or hears anything, yeah maybe we'll leapfrog, if we can't flank.

this tactic works really well in a medium sized outdoor field w/ a lot of shrubs. It also works well if there is a path that has a lot of turns in it

this can be used to move in any direction, forward, retreat, i use it in a circular motion alot.

Yea, the leap-frog tactic is a tremendously useful tactic for most players. I tend to use it when I am in a two man sniping team so that way we can ensure our own safety. This is also a good tactic to practice whenever you get the chance so that you can sharpen it. After a little bit of time and effort, you should be good to go. Once again, this is a "must know" for two man sniper teams.

I like to use the leapfrog tactics, but when i play rec ball, me and my buds wear voice activated 2 way radios w/ mics in the mask and ear plugs. We usually send someone around the side then he'll say where they are. We then get the bunker surrounded on both sides then take it out
