I have an Automag with all the stuff seen below:

That's a ReTro valve, a Benchmark 45 2x trigger frame, a Pure Energy fixed-output 68ci 3000psi tank, and some other stuff... anyway, I really want to make the trigger pull lighter on the gun. I have the sear adjusted so it just barely touches the back of the trigger so there is no play (front to back). Is there anything else I can do to improve the trigger pull? And shooting paint through it won't help it... it's seen at least 20 cases :D

Having an adjustable tank will allow you to tune how the trigger reacts. Trying out differnet PT spacers might help too. If you're trying to get rid of shortstroking, get a Hyperframe or Boo-Ya. With those you'll lose the reactive trigger part up, but keep the "no-shootdown."

Hrm... what's a good adjustable tank? And once I get it, what's the optimal input pressure? I heard it was something like 650-700 psi... is that true?

Probally a Flatline tank would work well.
500-600psi is a good start. It totally depends on how you like the feel of the trigger.

Hrm... I'm not looking to spend much on this... is there an in-line reg or a dual-reg valve that's cheaper?

*bump*
I really want some info... I have a big game coming up where I get to prove to my friends that a good player and a mechanical gun can whoop an Impulse and an Angel... at the same time :D

Just use what ever tank you can get your paws on for now. Later mess with adjustable tanks.
I like my Crossfire 68/3000 stub.

Hrm... is your Crossfire fixed output? My PE is fixed at 850 psi.

Yeah, 800 psi or so. It'll get you rocking for now.

Yep its 75$ from xpaintball.com and 90$ at my local shop. It works great specially on the low pressure bushmaster
