(1) I shoot both a shutter and an Impy. After comaring accuracy with relatively similar fps the accuracy wasn't any different from 50 ft. My Shutter has a 14" Boomstick, my Impy the stock Progressive, but the Prog. is an aftermarket barrel anyway. Why the expensive guns? Why spend so much? If accuracy is mostly barrel vs. paint and bore and all that why spend the money on an angel?

(2) For all Impy Co2 users.....How do you dial in your dwell? I didn't have time to mess with it my first time at the field. I had to dial my psi level all the way down to 120 to get the fps down below the fields 189 limit. But I turned the psi up to 150 (which previously had me at 320 fps) but turned down my dwell by screwing it in clockwise almost all the way down. Should the fps be relatively close to 189?

Thanks

The marker has very little to do with accuracy. The two most important factors in accuracy are the barrel and the paint. frankly the paint is much more important then most fokes think.

The Marblizer advanage from a good dealer (so its FRESH) it one of the best places to start.

Why an elecro? FIREPOWER!.
Actuly there are a numbe of factors to consider. the electro trigger will always be better then the very best non electro trigger. In the case of the Impulse, you will be running at much lower pressures then the spyder. this will generaly allow you to use thiner shell paint without breaks. (like All Star and Smart Paint) Electros are designed for very high rates of fire, and unless they are "sick" will not shoot down and very high rates of fire.

Setting the dwell...

having to go down to 125 psi to get in the veloicty range you wnat indicates you have too much dwell. this will cause you to waste a lot of paint and will normaly cause "bolt stick" if you shoot on an empty chamber.

You must has access to a chrno to correctly set the dwell-- don't worry about how some other gun is set--yours will almost certanly be different.

Set your gun at 180 psi.
shot over the chrno and adjust the dwell until you get to "about" 280 fps.

You don't mention where you are in Michigan. but if you are in the lower, you have one of the best resorces on Impulses right where you are. If you have any problems, Call Walt at Michigan paintball Outlet in Lapeer (nort of Detroit, east of flint) MPO has 4 factory trained certified techs and does Smart Parts warrenty repairs in house. Walt is one of the best techs ouside of Smart Parts

Enjoy the Impulse!
