Is the avenger a good begginers gun. im just starting out and i dont want a really crappy gun but a semi-good one. so is it semi-good?

My first gun was a Brass Eagle Excaliber, but my friend started out with an Avenger. In my opinion, where i go paintballing, the guns that they rent are simply better guns, and it is not worth taking one of these guns out to the field only to pay for air, and take the chance of it breaking, and ruining your day. If you rent, and it breaks, they fix it. I am currently looking into purchasing a 100 - 175 $ gun. I have heard a lot of good reviews on them, and they appear to be worth taking to the field.

The avenger is an ok gun for playing around with your beginner friends, but if they have cockers, or anything electrical, you are pretty much screwed unless you are really good. I would suggest going my route and purchasing an elextrical marker in the 100-200 dollar range.

it will work well against other BE's and guns in the lower catagories... if you take care of it, it will be reliable, but the one thing i have found is that the accuracy stinks............ i bought a used Tippmann 98.... the accuracy of the 98 is much better than the avenger and there are more upgrades, so if you have a choice find a used 98 or a spyder, but that is just my opinion, the avenger shouldn't let you down if you take care of it either, but thats just my findings.....
