ive always wonderd why they call autocockers autocockers is if someone would give me a response to how they are mechanicly different from others

They are basically a pump gun that use pneumatics to "autocock" the marker after each shot. Essentially, a pump gun that pumps it self...

Yep, self-cocking pump marker...

Quite nifty when you get down into it...as well as being very simple and reliable.

check out the wgp forum's mega sticky's diagram (and the other articles). after that, you'll understand what i'm about to say:

after entering the body, air splits off into two places. some goes to the valve and the rest goes to the pneumatics. first it enters the lpr. the lpr regulates the air to a lower pressure then feeds it to the 3 way. the 3 way directs the air to the back of the ram. this holds the bolt in its closed position. when the trigger is pulled, the 3 way's shaft moves and the air goes into the front of the ram, causing the back block to move back. when this happens the hammer is cocked and a ball is loaded.
