Dynasty signing with SP

Why are pro teams like dynasty signing with sp and not with ICD, ICD has obviously shown they are able to compete at the same level i just wish we got some more attention ICD should sponsor some pros!

Oh, and they're using the money from DYE and ICD to pay them. If that doesn't floor you nothing will.
Truth be told, though, it's pretty impressive cutthroat business on SP's part.

They signed with SP because ICD DOES NOT produce a marker that can compete with the quality & price of the shocker. You can get a vision shocker for 825!!!!!! For a company that is trying to monopolize that is dirt cheap. And I have shot ICD's wannabe electros, I have shot the strange and the shocker....ICD doesn't have anything in the ballpark that competes with the shocker. Dynasty would never sign with ICD, not enough publicity and ICD's guns are the most uncomfortable in the world. I have a 9th gen bushy w/ freak kit and I would rather shoot my backup TL w/ one-piece JT. im not gonna argue the ICD vs. SP thing, I know, and you all know as well who is the top dawg. Stop complaining about the lawsuits. You can't hold against them the fact that they have 3 GREAT teams under their wing(Philly A's, Strange, and Dynasty).

You got the marker you got cause it fits your style and your wallet nough said, if you shoot a marker just cause someone else does or someone else told you its the best your a moron in itself period.

My thoughts exactly... why do people feel the need to do that? I didn't really like the new shockers... they're featherlight and they look nice, but the speed wasn't that impressive and I reeeeeeeeeeally didn't like the trigger, it felt almost "fake". Too snappy to get a decent rhythm.

Although Smart Parts may be a bigger corporation and make more money than Indian Creek, at least Jerry Dobbins of ICD can go back to his home at night, look himself in the mirror, and think "I am an honorable man," That much, cannot be said for Smart Parts and I believe that there are others who agree with me, many of them owners of Smart Parts markers. Sorry, but I don't support Nazis.

I'm not a big fan of SP products. However, they are not doing anything illegal. They are exercising their right to the patent... to the letter. Perhaps looking at the details of the patent, one might say that it was a little underhanded.

However, it was all within acceptable business practices. Such is capitalism when exercised to it's fullest extend, and perhaps using capitalism in a not so "honourable" manner.

Perhaps a more honourable way would be to uphold the patent, but not charging some ridiculous licencing fee. Rather, beat the competition with a better product. That would be "honourable" capitalism.

The term "Nazi" has been used to decribe SP. Honestly, I don't think that's completely accurate. Perhaps a "Capitalist Pig" might be more accurate. :)

That is true, I withdraw my Nazi comment, they are truly capitalists at their best, but one must remember, as you hinted at, simply because something is legal does not mean it is right. At the time of the lawsuit, Smart Parts was a considerably larger corporation than ICD already, I am not sure on how necessary it was to force a company to pay royalties for guns they've been making for years.

The funny this is, most people say I only dislike Smart Parts now because I own an ICD marker and I don't actually know anything about SP markers. I actually used to have an Impulse and I hated everything about it, I'm much happier with my BKO. This was long before all the patent nonsense. At the level of markers and products I believe that ICD truly does blow Smart Parts out of the water, from a business standpoint though, ICD is a minnow and Smart Parts is one heck of a big shark.
