Hello im going to get a vertical adapter and 6 inch hose for an expansion chamber next week i was wondering if it was difficult to install them i had some bad experience when i replaced the valve, the bolt on the hose wore off after i took it apart a few times b/c it leaked and i had to send my gun to tippmann to get it fixed... i used Teflon tape but the threads grinded it up when i screwed it back together :|
so i was wondering if i should try my luck on installing it myself or send it to tippmann to have a pro install it for me

people say it is hard but usually they put too much tflon tape or not enough

i suggest soe sorta od liquid/paste thread sealer

that way the excess just squeezez out

and just go slow line up the threads and you should have no problem

The Vertical Adapter can be a pain to install. You have to have the exact amount of threads screwed in. I think you can only have 2 left out. I reccomend using Locktite, not teflon tape. I strongly do. And from here on, use locktite. I'm pretty sure the vert. adapter kit i got came with lock-tite. The stuff works. Anyways, good luck on it.

don't use Teflon tape. it gets ground up in the threads and does not seal well use locktite.

i ONLY use loctite PST it is for selaing threads

i cant stand people using red !!!

it isnt for sealing threads it is to keep screws and nuts from coming off

i used the thread stuff. go to a auto place like autozone if you can't find it. i looked in walmart, homedepo and a bunch of other places before i thought of autozone.
