is a sto's performance a lot more noticable than a regular 2001 vert feed autococker

Yes shorter Trigger, More comfy frame, More Consistant, Comes with a drop, great barrel, and a good bolt. But keep the Bushmaster i use to have a cocker and i prefer my bushy 2002 10 times better!

pretty good performance. shorter pull is what stood out the most though. The trigger frame is the same as the Vert Feed though, so it feels the same to me.

two of my friends have sto's and personally i like my trigger pull on my vert feed better. its probably just because im used to it, but you can pretty much get it timed however you want it to shoot. and the main difference in the sto and vert feed is looks, other than that the drop kinda sucks, barrels good, bolts good, and thats about it.

what about for accuracy and air flow
if i got the 01 vert feed i would get the hinge and a bomb 3way so that would shorten the pull

yeah, get the vert right now if you dont really care about cosmetics
they are like $340 at most places now
stos are like $630
so you got an extra $290 to spend on upgrades, you could get a hinge trigger, nickel shocktech front block, and a lapco bigshot for that price. sounds like a better deal to me.

The bomb 3-way will shorten the pull alot, BUT you're gonna sacrifice smoothness to get it.
I've got the Hinge & Bomb combo & it is super short, but after a full day of play (7-8 hours) may fingers are really tired....
I tried a hinge/ans 3-way combo which was much longer of a pull than mine but way lighter & smoother....
Just a thought

I would stick to the STO. If you would like to spend money on upgrade after upgrade then go for it. Many upgrades actually ruin performance. You must be carefull. The STO is right from the worr factory so you know that all of the parts are compatible with one another. A bomb would shorten the pull, however the pull is going to be "cleaner" on an STO than on stock. It will be the same as a vert. feed. If you want to really get it free then purchase a hinge. Now you are talking some serious money, and your warranty is basically void. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Some of you young guys don't know how important a warranty is. Choose the STO, you will get all of the performance plus some, and you have a full warranty to back it. Plus you don't have to be worried if whether or not worr will work on your cocker if it breaks down.

i would have to agree with liquid soul! but then
again, that carbon fiber can crack under extreme
circumstances. so, if you were to change anything,
then definitely go with the frame. that was a
major factor for me. so i decided to go with the bm.

Yes,I made myself unclear. To free up a trigger on a cocker the first thing you should do is upgrade the frame to a Dye, Benchmark, and all of the others out there. If the frame has a trigger stop you are in business. You can use the trigger stop to fine tune the trigger to your liking.

as it has been pointed out to me more than one time.....the STO parts are the "same " as stock only chromed.....and no mater what you get you will want to change your front reg to and adjustable one.....like first thing....next to the barrel of course.....and oh yeah....the frame to a metal one like everyone else said....dye,benchmark....and on and on....
but the STO has cool ano.....

and as I think about it....either one you might want to change the valve to a high flow....and the in line reg .....funny....none of these things seem to fall into the "Many upgrades actually ruin performance." catagory in my book....(free flow comes to mind....)
