Could somebody explain everything there is to know about paintball in a few short sentences? Another member of the forum has made unruly claims of the worst degree. He says that I know nothing about paintball and that i don't deserve to post on this board. Be quick about it though, I need to delete this before he sees it.

You really cant learn everything there is to know in a few sentences. And you're screwed if you wanted to delete this thread.......

well this is a paintball forum, if you dont know anything or are willing to learn anything the usual way (cruising the forums and searching) why should we help you so you can just say that you know something about paintball, then proceed to only use our off topic forum:eyes:

just know that all blowback guns r mainly electros and that bunkering means when u charge the enemies bunker and shoot them(litting them up). higher endded markers are guns like angels, timmys(Intimidators), Impulses etc. guns like spyders, tippmanns, rebels r lower ended and r all blowbacks. tippmanns rn't electric unless u make them that way but nobody wants a electronic tippmann. hmm army tactics dont work 4 in paintball(woodsball) there r 4types of paintball Woodsball, Speedball, Hyper ball, and airball (X-ball but not sure if thats another word for speedball). Woodsball is just like how it sounds its just played in the woods. Speedball is what pros play w/ setup fields and bunkers (them air blowup lookin balloon things tied to the ground). and u pretty much charge people and use short dist. gun that shoot hella fast. common guns r Angels, timmies, impulses, cockers and any other pro gun u can name. in order to shoot so fast u need an electronic hopper (the Halo B is the best hopper right now it will feed 22bps into yer gun if yer gun will shoot that fast). if yer useing a spyder or rebel or sumtih that shoots under 13bps buy a Ricette 2k hopper is u wana look fancy if u dont care bout looks then be like me and buy the Empire Sound activated reloader. they both do the same just the Ricette has an LCD scrn telling u how many shots were fired. they both take 9v batteries i believe and hv a wheel in the hopper 2 make them feed balls in fast.
Hope I helped

Hello, TrIcK3D0uT E-99! Your message and generous compliments are most welcome; I feel like I have been playing paintball for years.
hybrid-sniper - I am not sure that you quite grasp what I mean when I say that I am in a hurry. I suppose it is a nice luxury that you have all the time in the world to 'cruise' the forums. I, however, have a few responsibilities outside the boards. Not that it would make a difference if I had some spare time, because this guy is breathing down my neck expecting me to prove that I know paintball.
Does anybody have anything else to add?

Good morning, Mullen. i didn't see your friendly and encouraging message until just now. An error of mine scrolling down the page.
I am not exactly sure what you mean though. Are the forums set up so that once somebody posts, you cannot delete the thread?

have you ever played paintball?
depending on how many times you've played say 1-5 times, you really shouldnt have to prove anything to this guy because you would still be in a "noob" stage of not really knowing anything about markers, tanks, hoppers.....etc because you havent really had the chance to learn.
anything over 5 times playing theres usually some knowledge there.
as for summing things up
pump guns: use a pump arm to "cock" the gun, moving the bolt back and letting a ball load into the breech.
semi auto: for everytime you pull the trigger a ball fires, when you pull the trigger it trips the sear, which lets the hammer loose, which then drives itself into the valve. when it drives itself into the valve it releases a burst of co2 out through the bolt, propelling the paintball out the barrel.(this is a common blowback marker)
electro: (not really a pro on them or anything) but when you pull the trigger it sends a message to a solenoid board which then through various operations tells the marker to fire (maybe someone else could expand or correct me on this)
woodsball: played in the woods, with certain objectives or scenarios
speedball: played in an arena type field with bunkers scattered throughout the small field, usually objectives are centerflag, capture the flag, or team eliminations.
hyperball: essentially the same as speedball but with different bunkers
airball: speedball with large inflatable bunkers
this may help you out for any further needs

Good morning, hybrid-sniper! And again thanks for the encouragement and lavish compliments.
Yes, I knew about the "noob stage", but that knowledge lay buried in some remote recess of my memory. At my age, there's an accumulation of clutter in the memory that iimpedes recovering specific items needed at any one time.
I think that I have adequate experience to say that I am out of my 'noob stage,' I know enough about the different paintball shooters, loaders, and tanks to get my by. It is the different types of games, and the lingo used therein that is giving me some trouble. Things like "bunkering." Your post has been very helpful, and the link you gave me has given me great encouragement. I feel that I am nearly ready to face the Devil himself.
Edit: I will add that the reason that I need this help is because it is true that i have only played paintball a single time. It was a few years back. I don't precisely remember the details. I do however remember the excitement.

As I recall you said in an early thread... "I have PLENTY of experience with paintball."
"Yes, that coupled with my extensive time browsing this forum. I think it adds up to quite a bit of experience. I know as much about paintball as the next person."
If your going to spam... please leave our forum.

umm, dude. Your a noob. Playing one time doesnt teach you what most ppl learn from a month of playing. And that is what you are asking us.
on a side note. If you dont even play? y do you use these forums?

See WordsWorth its that kind of wording that gets you labeled as a newb. "Paintball shooters" are more generally refered to as paintball guns or even better: "markers".

I think you're a noob and you can't help it. Face it, we all are. Playing once does not qualify you as a non-noob, just because you've played. I hope you get your butt chewed out for lying to that guy. And I think you need to leave this forum now. Right now. Can't you hear me? Learn. Read. Then talk trash.:)

dude, the only way to get good at paintball is go get experiance. it is impossable to learn anything from paintball online, unless your talking about the types of guns and stuff. Like when i first started off, i would get mabe 1 person every three or four games, and i would get out every game, and use about 500 paintballs a day. but now after about a year of experiance i am getting around 5 people a game, and using about 1500 paintballs a day. its not something you can be thought, you have to experiance it, i Mean i gues there is a few things i can tell you, such as, move when paintballs are coming at you, shoot at the other team, dont shoot your team, and dont stand in the open. but that works best for me, hell i dont know you could be the kind of person that likes to stand in the open. its all a matter of opinion, so tell your little friend, that he can just suck your and he probably doenst know any more than you do, and if he is basing all his knowlege on stuff he learns online, tell him to get a life and go out and play the fricken game

Paintball in a few sentences...
You shoot at other players to mark them with paint. One hit and you're out. Some markers are good, some are bad. On most markers you can change barrels and most parts. Hoppers hold paint. Tanks hold the CO2/CA propellent.
Non-noob stage is defined as having played paintball more than once...
There's more to paintball than knowing stuff on a website. It doesn't matter if you can tech every marker known to man, as well as knowing every bit of useless trivia info on paintball if you can't play.

thank you verry much teufelhunden for just restating exactly what i said,,, (idiot)
:|
but seriosly chubs, if you want to get good at paintball, go play like once a week, and if you think your good because you know stuff people told you online, then go try out for a team, and watch them laugh in your face because the opponent was standing right behind you with his gun on your back and shot you 50 times at point blank,
wow i cant help but feal sorry for this dude, how about instead of making fun of him and calling him a newb, we actualy try and help him.
