Okay, I read the stickies and I know theyre crap, but using zap paintballs is probably the only way i can afford to keep playing paintball.

My question is which will work better with zap, jj ceramic or lapco bigshot. On the paint chart, zap is listed at .688. Bigshot is listed at .689, and ceramic says .688-.69 (not sure how a barrel can have a range). Although I usually have thought bigshot was better, according to this it would seem that ceramic would work better both for size and the fact that it shoots itself clean (big plus with zap paintballs). Course i dont really know how well bigshot shoots after a break, and it is shorter.

If anyone knows which shoots those cheap academy zap paintballs better, please help me out. Thanx in advance.

I use ZAP with both the barrels. They both work well with ZAP seconds and Vapors, but overall the bigshot seems to shoot tighter groups but is a little louder.

I can't speak for the J&J because I have yet to break a ball in the barrel, but I put the Bigshot on my sheridan and busted a ball (rather quickly) and it really did not clean it self very well. But then again I was using a Sheridan.

My vote would go to the Bigshot if you have the extra money. Either would be just fine though.

Ah, kinda late, but good choice. I've got the bigshot, and here's a short list of how some balls have shot in my barrel vs. Zap:

Worr paint - busted like hell.
JT Maxim - busted like hell.
RP All stars - busted like sticky yellow hell.

Zap spanks - can't get them to shoot crooked.
Zap Primer - same as the spanks, but really hard shell.

might be my gun's fault, but nothing fits my lapco better than zap balls
