I'm making my Spyder TL Plus low pressure and also want to get a nitro tank. Up until now, i've been playing with a 20 oz. CO2 tank and was thinking of buying the PMI Pure Energy 48 cu tank [steel] because it's the most affordable i've found.
My question is this: Will i get enough shots through this tank for it to be worth it?

for 3000 psi tanks its 10 shots per cubic inch so thats 480 shots from a 48ci inch tank. BUT also it depends on the LP setup you have, which will get you more shots out of it.

My setup will be as follows:
AKA Tornado valve, Air America Vigilante Reg., Shocktech Spring set, macro line hoses, and I'm still trying to find a bolt....I was hoping to get the AKA Lightning but I wasn't sure if it was available in a rear cocking setup.

Good choice in brands. The PMI tanks are pretty dam good for the cash you spend on them. Just remember low pressure does not always mean more efficient. One thing out of wack can make the gun a big gas hog.
GI...sounds like a sweat setup....You could always get the AKA lightning and get it taped and put the rear cocking rod in yourself. Or have a quilified airsmith do the work for you. Shouldn't cost that much...though those bolts are pretty expensive by them selves aren't they?

I'd personally go with a 68 stub. They're smaller than 48s for some weird reason and made of metal so they don't scratch or anything. Someone has one for 85 bucks like new on the air trade forum. I have a 68 I just got from Rexel16 so you can try and buy his as well. Crossfire's a pretty good brand from what I understand.

the fact is if you have a good Low Pressure set up, then you will notice efficiency as an added bonus. You should be able to get more shots out of the tank that way.
