Well after i did some thinking and looking, i think i might give a matrix a run. But being the stuck up perfectionist i am, i've got a few questions and requirments about the gun.
Do they make high rises for them? I can't stand low's
Are the new LEDs like a bushies LED?
How much would a used matrix cost?
Stock grips or stickies?
How many shots will i get of a 68/3? w/and w/o bolt kit what about a 68/45?
Will the stock reg sufficy?
Do i have to open the gun to adjust the trigger? i think so, thats a bad thing for me
How much paint do you guys use?

oohh... mr. High and mighty with his bushy is gonna try a matrix....
great markers man...
they do have led lights that indicate on/off... as well as a push button, instead off the switch....(seen 2 of them... dont know where to get them though)
the stock reg isnt that bad... I dont mind mine at all. I havnt even considered going to ASA and a new reg... although some poeple have...
they make high rises for them
the stock grips (rubber) are great.... like hogue grips.
stickys wont fit.. alas, matrices use 3 screw style like angel.
about 900 shots out of a full 68/45 fill...
honestly... some people dont think they will get that much.
I can shoot my hopper and 5 pods, and still have air left.
that is fine for me.
you have to take the grip frame off the gun, and adjust 2 screws to adjust the trigger... like an angel. same place... it is very easy!
hope this helps.
(ohh, I can carry 5 pods on me.. that is how much I use in a game... rec ball, probably less)

So.. Hah i still have those emails where you flamed me cause I was I liked the Matrix and considered it.. I still dont know if i am geting a matrix or a sonic .. .I thikn i will buy a new sonic and may get a used matrix .. Probably use the matrix on the tapes and use the bushy in the mid/front pos. because i love the balance..anyway..
1) The matrix comes stock w/ a highrise .. Dozer lowrises and Enigma lowrises are available from ACPP
2) Yes, but the LED light is in the back (better IMO.. no opponent can see it but you easily can) and the push button to turn it on/off is right above it in the back
3) Probably get a stock used matrix for $550-600
4) The stock grips are nice... but it takes any angel grips, including angel stickies.. (Any grip w/ the 3 standard holes)
5) 68/3k w/o bolt kit: 550-600 shots
68/45 w/o bolt kit: 800 shots
68/3k w/ bolt kit: 950-1000
68/45 w/ bolt kit: 1250-1300
6) the stock reg is very nice and consistant and it also works well on co2 as well as hpa.. People put on an asa and a gladiator because they dont like the shape or feel of the beehive.. but its a very good reg if you dont mind it as a foregrip and dont mind the looks (but its a matrix..looks should be fast resort)
7) Trigger is easy, and the trigger is awesome..and im sure you wont have to adjust it much cause it comes stock feeling so sweet..but you just open the grip and use the screws to change it. very easy though (3 different triggers available and they are all unique.. stock trigger [curvy] switch trigger [ACPP one] and the Stick [Fatalswoops distributes them]
8) Although the matrix has a faster ROF, you will probably use about the same amount of paint as you do w/ your bushy..you should be fine
Remember, i decided w/ the Sonic over the matrix cause i currently play front and right in the middle of the field..and i like the feel and balance of the bushy for that postion..i would probably pick up a matrix w/ a sidefeed breech and warp for the tapes..but i dont play the tape much currently..try out the balance first ... its a nice marker..and now i laught at you for making fun of me for liking the matrix..it is a good marker rich
**/me sees everyone turning to the matrix now that gas is not a problem.. interesting**

Yah well, the shocker has the same thing..and no upgrade.. so why dont you go ***** at that? :D
Oh yah, forgot to answer one of your questions...
ACPP and Diablo have had a recent meeting and Matrices will start being sold w/ the boltkit! I dont know about how much the price will go up if it does at all.. But we'll see.
So the next generation, if you will, will most likely include the ACPP Bolt Kit

Because shockers work better on CO2 then matirx and the efficancy isn't as bad.

The stock rise is a mid-high rise.
If you mean it blinks, then yes :P
I don't like the stock rubber grips, the dye was coming off mine onto my hands.
550-600 shots per 68/3k tank, about 900-1000 shots with a bolt kit. Do the math for a 4500 cuz I'm lazy.
The stock reg worked great for me, just don't crossthread it like a ******* (I did that).
You have to take the grip frame off to adjust the trigger. Takes me 5 mins or so. Once you have it set right, put a drop of blue loctite on the screws so they don't move out.
How much paint do I use? In 3 man when I play back, I use 400-600 rounds per game. 5 man when I play mid its about the same. When I'm up front I only use like 300 rounds sometimes, it really depends on the situation- if I'm at a key bunker I'm not gonna shoot as much because I'm taking more fire and I don't want to get nailed.
I don't play back in 5 man, but if I did I'd shoot like 800 rounds a game or more.

You been smoking the ganja? Remember that you don't own one, and are ASKING about the friggin effeciency.
Effeciency is pretty much exactly the same as a shocker. And yes, matrixs run C02, if you want it to.

Not as good from what I've seen.
And no, the matrix has a WHOLE different feel from a shocker, they aren't really comparable.

The guns in whole are very comparable.
in terms of low pressure, efficiency, and performance.
(both are very low pressure, both are not that great efficiency, both perform AWESOME)
the size of the markers are comparable...
the way they operate are very different.
you CAN compare any gun... a talon is comparable to a shocker. they are comparable, but neither have anything in common.
the feel of both the shocker and the matrix are totally unique.
the grips are different, the balance is different, the weight is different....
yup.

If you own or have experience with both, they are COMPLETELY different.
They operate differently, fell differently when shot, and most importantly have a hugely different ROF. The matrix is slightly smaller than the new shockers and balances differently. Sure, on paper they may seem the same, but play with both and you'll see...
Let's not play the semantics game here...

there may not be much in common, between the shocker and the matrix, but they ARE comparable. the perormance is very similar.
the feel is different, the size is slightly different, the effeciency is very similar. they operate in totally different ways. both fire in closed bolt position.
...
ohh, by the way. I own both.
so....
shut the f**k up.;)
yup... thats basically it.

Heh.. meant to say that the beehive is good on co2, not as good as the maxflo, but its a pretty good stock reg on co2 and hpa.
