Explanation please?

Anyone wanna explain to me how a paintball gun works, what each part is/does and all? Im new and want to learn!!

There are many types of paintball guns and all work in completly different ways.

all paint-guns work the same...

you pull the trigger, and a ball comes out the barrel!!!

Paintball guns pretty much work like a real gun, you need a firing pin, trigger, and a barrel. The only thing different is you use CO2 or Compressed air instead of gun power. I hope that helped you. OH BTW Markers shoot a shorter distance and slower.

markers are similar to guns in a few ways...most obvious is that they fire a projectile at a speed faster than u can run...

another thing is that they have a trigger frame, a trigger, and a barrel... :P

blowbacks are simple...u press the trigger, and the sear releases the back block thingie and the internal motion starts and everything recharges, and the thing gets caught on the sear again...sry, i'm really really tired...even tho i've been getting decent sleep...

the trigger is pulled. this releases the sear. the sear had been holding the striker in place; after the sear goes down the striker is released. the striker is connected to the bolt. they both move forward extremely fast. the striker hits the valve at about the same time that the bolt hits a ball. the bolt lines up with the valve. the valve opens up and releases air into the bolt. the bolt directs air to the ball and thusly is fired. the valve also releases air from another hole and pushes the striker back into place. the cycle begins anew :)

YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THE VALVE RECHARGES ONCE THE BOLT IS RESET :pissed: :pissed:

hybrid electros (like e-spyders) work the same as what amzing said but the trigger frame is electric. there's a button behind the trigger that, when pressed, activates the mechanism that trips the sear. this makes the trigger pull shorter & lighter in comparison.

as far as i kno...tru-electros are controlled by the solenoid, which i think is sum sort of a substitute for the sear...i think...

damn, my hed hurts...dun listen to that above statement, it was pointless


having a hybrid blowback/electro is just the idea of taking advantage of the blowback's cycle rate which i think is around 40 for ur average blowback, like a spyder, and making it possible to challenge that.

otherwise, it's what nerdcore said...
