Who here has/has had a tippmann? How much did you upgrade it, and was it worth the money you put into it? Did you find the gun was accurate enough, but with what upgrades? How long did you play with it before you bought another gun? Would it be better to just get some regulator, or go for HPA?

SureShot_GJox, you might want to PM a mod and have them move this to the Tippmann Forums. You will probably get better responses and less flames there.

I had a tippman, 2 years ago. It was a nice starers gun and got the job done for what i needed it for. However I don't feel it is worth the money to upgrade it very much. A barrel and maybe a drop to make it a bit easier to wield. However above that there isn't much that is worth the money.

Of course I thought about that, but I want to hear from people who HAD them also. I'm sure not everyone is going to be going to Tippmann forums who used to have one. I've read things people have said on that forum, but just trying to squeeze out the last bit of info. I don't care about flames... hah.

pb_fool: Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

i had a tippman to use for 2 months. 1 month without the flatline, 1 with. i liked it with the flatline. Very accurete if you install it right. Tippmans are great starter guns. It was upgraded with a double trigger, rhino drop, RT trigger, and 47/3000 psi tank. it was pretty dang nice.

Had my tippmann for about 3 years before I sold it and bought a BKO.

It started life as the original Model 98 (This was before the 98 Custom came out), then I bought the 98 Custom body halves when it came out and transferred the internals.

Can't complain about the performance, was a very reliable marker, had a few minor problems, but nothing major.

I just put a CP flame drop, VA adapter and a reg, then bought a 68/3000 preset tank and got a 14" CP One piece barrel.

I have one. It performed way out of it's price range. Only ups so far are a modified Teardrop barrel (I took magic marker to the jewels so no one can see the Teardrop or Smart Parts logos) and a Flatline. I used it for about 10 months before upgrading to a Bushmaster, but I still use it from time to time and in woodsball. It's accurate enough. I say go to HPA, but it still works fine on CO2, even in cold weather.

Have an an A-5, all stock. I'm very pleased with it. Over 16000 rounds and not a single chop(4 breaks due to bad paint).
