Does velocity matter when you change your barrel? It may be stupid but i my friend told me it matters and you have to tweak it to the new barrel.

Yes, you need to adjust your velocity from barrel to barrel.

The reason why is because of the porting the barrel has and the barrel could be a different size than your last barrel in bore size. The material of the barrel may matter as well becuase some barrels are coated with ceramic and teflon. The length also matters as well.

More barrel length will slow it down a bit.

Not just the length but the porting too. As air escapes the ball will slow down

In addition to what Teuf said to that, most pbballers want multiple opinions or confirmations of it as they don't want to get wrong info or waste there money. They just want the reassurance.
