I am getting a little over 500 shots from my 68/4500 Crossfire on my BKO. I have my HPR set at close to 225 as I can and I set the LPR correctly using the listen for leak and back out method. So both regs are set correctly and I am getting a little more than 500 shots of my 68/4500. Any ideas?

I would try relubing the HPR and LPR.

Also, listen for valve leaks.

Would blowback lose you much air or would it have anything to do with it?

I really don't like the listen for the leak style of setting the lpr, I set it by turning it all the way off, and then slowly turning it up while chronoing untill I get my desired FPS (with the hpr set at 220).

no valve leaks, so I guess I'll rebuild the regs again. I don't have any lube though:(

Yes.
Player - What is your gun setup? I may be able to help, the same happened to me not too long ago. (firstly I'll restate what others have said) #1 - Get some white lithium grease and grease up your internals and your regs. #2 - gas it up and listen closely to every area of the gun for leaks. #3 - If there are no leaks, set your HPR to 215psi and adjust your LPR until you're shooting around 280fps. Then see how your efficiency is. If it's still horrible you can try sweetspotting your regs, but that's sort of a pain, or you might have a bad seal somewhere that's letting more air in than it's supposed to... I dunno, re-grease and let us now.

If you have bad blowback it can cause bad efficency because you have to use more air to compensate for the air that you lose each time you fire to get to the desired fps.
Bad efficiency can also be caused by the lpr being set too low.

True, but blowback wont cause anywhere near the efficiency he is getting.

Marker setup has alot to do with your problem.
If you have a stock KO I would recommend the following setup proceedure.
Set your HPR to 200psi then goto the chrono and adjust your FPS with your LPR.
Since the KO only uses gas to blow the ram assembly forward it shouldnt be setup using the listen for leak technique. Try the above after lubing your marker up and I bet you will see a increase in your shot count. If you dont I would look for a leaking cup seal.

OK Thanks Shootpaint. Got a question, I am going to be getting a sidewinder, tornado valve, and mitey max. What pressure should I set my gun at then? Around 175 I would guess?

The BKO I used to have got terrible efficiency (about 4-500 out of a 65/3000) until I added the AKA Mitey Max and a Vapor Valve. My efficiency about doubled when I put those two parts on the marker. 500 shots out of a 68/4500 (full fill?) seems really, really bad though. Maybe a leak?
