I've played about 7 times and I'm pretty good. I wanted to impress two players from a local team who were short 2 players for a tournament(I wanted to go :) ) so I had it set in my mind that I would kick *** that day.
First game I was on my own in the middle with 2 tape runners on each side and we all ran to the center. I'm 14 and the guys on my team were in their 30s-40s so I was way in front of them. I got into a nice bunker and decided to wait a minute or two for my team. I hear round zipping over my head...from behind. I figured it was the 30 year old newbs so I screamed at the top of my lungs for an armband colour. No answer. I repeat the message 4 times when I'm being flanked from the left. my back is totally exposed to the enemy the whole time and I know I have to move now or I will surely get shot.
I charge the flanker who dives into a small depression. He shoots me 5 times when there is a 3 shot rule. I glance at his armband and, sure, enough, he's on my team. I yelled at this ashamed 30 year old for being a particularly stupid newbie(I later apologized-I still feel bad though...hey! It's not like I planned it and I'm usually a very calm and friendly guy). On the way back I got shot 3 times in the chest for not having my arms raised above my shoulders...although I was walking on a path with my arms near shoulder level and my plug in. I just smiled and said "It's okay, my fault, no problem".
Games 2-5 I cleaned house with 1 flag cap and 11 eliminations.(Great support from 1 teammate with a 98)
The rest was speedball where I was bunkered once(last player alive vs 4)shot out 5 times and got 8 eliminations-breaking 2 games against a fairly good team.(Thanks again 98, great cover)
The tourney team I talked to never did get back to me. I figured the swearing would help me out lol.
I had fun except for game 1. I still can't believe I almost made a 30 year old man cry over a "failure in communication". Sorry again Steven.
