How do you remove the stock regulator? Just unscrew it? Do you need a new vertical adapter on the BM2K to fit on a different regulator? Will your regulator can screwed up if you use a preset tank with a 4th gen BM? By the way, just received my Bushmaster today... :D ;)

thats cool! i am not sure if the vert adapter on my gun is stock but i have one, and you can just unscrew the reg from there. or if you take out the gauge you can unscrew the hole vert adapter, then put the guage back after you put the VA back on . . .

you need to either take off the guage and fittings, or take off the frame/housing to get the stock one off. Coold beans on the gun, did you buy used or new? a preset should be fine if it's a newly ordered gun.

"Housing"? I'm not very familiar with Bushmaster parts yet, so it would be great if you could tell me which part that is. :) I bought the gun used, it's a 4th Generation. I actually ran the Bushmaster on my preset tank and it worked fine yesterday. Nothing screwed up, and I'm hoping it stays that way. :D

on the 4th gen i think you might need a new spring for the reg if you wanna safely run a presety tank. but if you wanna put on an aftermarket reg you need an asa.

Well, I went through 500 rounds on my preset tank yesterday, no problems. :) I really don't see how a spring could effect whether it works or not, as air enters either way. If you replace the spring that's already in there, doesn't that change it so that turning up the pressure is harder/easier depending on whether you get a soft/stiff spring?

Ok, well, I got the stock regulator off, now I just need to know how to get the stock regulator attatchment on the body off. :) I just recently bought a vertical adapter, as I'm going to remove the thing off soon, but have no idea how. The new vertical adapter has a screw that goes through the vertical adapter and screws onto the body, but the stock regulator mount thingy doesn't seem to have a hex wrench area in which I can loosen the screw. Any ideas? :D
