:eyes:

I have a 98 custom, and am looking into buying a better barrel. I have read into all the barrels i want to buy, but want feedback specific to the 98 custom. The barrels im looking into are:

Smart-Parts All American
Tippmann Flatline
Dye Boomstick
Armson Stealth

If anyone has any of these barrels with this gun, please tell me how they work with the barrels, like noise, accuracy, range, cleaning, max paintball bore, and anything else i should now.

Thanks a ton

dont waste money on the boom stick if you play woods get the flaline
but dont get a boomstick they are a total waste

stealth is nice and wquiet good for woods and the teardrop is a very nice accurate barrel

Some people like boomsticks and some think they're a waste of money.

Out of those choices I would probably recommend the All American or the Boomstick. Personally I would recommend teh Custom Products one piece barrels, but its all about personal preference.

Out of those choices I would suggest the armson stealth. I personally like boomers, but now that JT has come out with its 2 piece and different sized removable backings ther really isn't any point in them. The JT's are cheaper and you can get a set for different paint boar sizes. Thats what I would suggest if you wanted tpo get a boomer but other then that I would say the armson. Its quiet, accurate and is reasonably priced.

I had the same problem. But I decided to buy a Smart Part's All American 16" and I am soooo glad I did. It's works INCREDIBLE!!! Very very quiet. DEAD ACURATE and cool looking. And for a pretty good price....look no further. Get the AA you will thank yourself.

Smart Parts AA...ALL THE WAY!

I have an AA on my shocker they are defianately worth it. But go for the 14 inch...16 is just too long. I can play with it and all but it jsut takes more adjustment then a 14 would and they do the same thing for quietness and accurracy

Yah get a 14"...16" is a little too long....

regarding the boomstick...It is good with Cockers and Angels....but is horribly over priced and on a tippmann....AA just works better with it

I choose AA over Boomstick any day

why not a 12"?

The thing about a 14 is it has the range capabilities of a 12" but gets the accuracy of a 16

for some reason AA's seem to work this way. kinda funny. but trust me.

AA's ROCK!

is the bigshot or ss better?

SS: Well from what I ahve heard the DYE Stainless Steel is supposed to have amazing accuracy. But I am not sure how they work with a M98...probably really good. THe think is...Stainless steel is incredibly durable but the SS weighs the most probably out of any barrel on the market. So it will add some extra weight to an already heavy m98. But it is amazingly accurate.

Big Shot: I know some people really like them on their m98's and havn't really looked into it that much. I would rather go with the SS myself. It's just that it is really expensive

A good site to get your barrels off of is www.firstcallpaintball.com
I have ordered from them before and they are really a really good online store. Some barrels like the DYE Aluminum and the Smart Parts AA are DIRT cheap. Most people think..."well they are so cheap there must be something wrong with them" I was a little untrusting at first too. But they are perfectly fine and SO MUCH CHEAPER

just go with your prefrence in weight and accuracy. hope I helped :)
