i just bought a pmi pure energy regulator and i installed it and everything, but when i screw in the air tank the air leaks out of the regulator, it's not coming out of the fittings where i screwed it in, it's definately coming out of the regulator.....the instructions say that you need to cycle it first, but i'm not sure what that means....so if any of you have used this regulator i could use your help, thanks a lot

to cycle it means to fire the gun if tis doesn't work... two things to check with you regulator first unscrew the upper half of your reg if you have a chrome and black reg it's when the top of the reg turns chrome NOTE: at this junction the reg has reverse threads ie: try to loosen the reg by turning it in a direction you would normally tighten bolts... take the oring out from these two halves.... they cause leakes ... trust me.... second now if you remove the sliding valve above the spring you will notice the o-ring is more than like either mangled or just broke go to lowes and buy a new o-ring that fits snugly around the sliding valve put he reg back together and make sure to leave out the o-ring that mates the two halves of the housing.

The reason you are removing the o-ring in the body is because it causes a gap between the sliding valve and the shaft it slides into if the reg is backed all the way out with this oring in place the valve lower so low that the upper most internal o-ring in the reg gets pinched between the shaft and valve stem.
