Getting Shot in the Neck

Last summer I shot this guy in the neck. It wasn't on the adam's apple, but on the side. He said it hurt, but not as bad as he expected. Has anyone out there ever been shot in the neck? I've never been shot there, but I bought a JT neck protector just in case.

I have. It was during a game of attack and defend in a castle setup that the field I play at has. Peeped up over the side of the castle to shoot take a shot at some people on the other team, then the next thing I know I was shot in the neck. Hurt a little, but I'm still alive to tell the tale ;).

i got shot in the side of the neck before. tell u the truth i didnt know i even got shot there. cuz i got shot twice once in the thigh and once in the neck. the one in the thight hurt cuz it didnt break, but the one in the neck i didnt feel. i checked my leg and there was no paint so i kept on playing. about a min later i could feel the paint oozing down my neck so then i found out i got shot there. it was really weird. i guess that the adrenilinee rush kind of numed up my nerves.

Ive never been shot in the neck. Ive heard suffocation is a horrible way to die...dont want to experience that personally. So, i always wear a neck guard.

I got shot in the adams apple before. Didnt kill me (which is so good, because I always worried that it would), though I couldnt breathe properly for a few seconds (which is bad, because I thought I'd colapsed my trachea), I'd say the panic was the worst thing. My voice has always sounded a bit different since then, not that anyone who didnt know my voice before would notice, but it's a bit scratchier. And yeah, it hurt a whole lot. Plus having a big bruise on your adam's apple can be offputing to your parents if they werent sure about letting you paintball. It's a wonder they let me go ever again.

i have been hit by a bouncer in the neck and the jt neck protector did work by relieving the pain.

Well guys, i think my story beats all of yours... couple of weeks ago me and a couple of my friends we're down at a nearby park. We were trying to find a good place to play on the weekends. Now one of my friends is pretty messed up. Hes a pyro/explosive/all around dumb person sometimes, yeah, he likes tinkering with explosives, guns, etc. He even shot himself in the hand with a a bb pistol "while seeing if there were any bb's in it(dont ask me why he was pointing it at my hand)!" Yes, he can be very... VERY dumb sometimes but despite the fact he is potentially fatal hes fun to hang around.lol. To end this story quickly we were walking along and ironically we were talking about how dumb he was. I was walking a few steps in front of them and my other smarter** friend said this exact thing: "Why are you always hurting yourself and endangering other people?(in a humorous way)" seconds before my stupid friend shot me in the neck from pointblank(YES THATS RIGHT, he raised the barell on his SE up to my neck after supposedly emptying the gun of paint)however, a (yes i can remember this) light blue diablo midnight was still lodged in the chamber. Thinking that he could shoot me with some kind of a warning shot of co2, he shot me in the neck from about 1/4 of an in. away. The ball made contact with my neck about an inch to the right of my spinal column. The sheer force of the little thing had split my skin open on my neck and so i had blue midnight paint mixed with blood from my neck oozing all over my neck. YES, it did hurt. (sarcastically)imagine that... It left a infested ring worm looking thing on my neck. The initial blow was mostly just shock. It didnt hurt like i felt like i was dying. It was just shock. Next day, my neck was stiff a hëll. The scab is goin away and you can tell that there is a scar. I am *incredibally* perfectly fine except for the sheer thought of it now. LOL, this is a lesson kiddies. Always treat your gun as if it were loaded. I now brings to me a whole new meaning. You learn only from experience i guess... :)

I got the neck protector. i didn't like it at first because when i put it on I felt like i was choking! after a while i just ignored it and i forgot that it was there. Put it this way, getting hit in the neck is going to hurt. depending on how far away the shot came from of course. but the neck protector does help! i like mine. has the cool Jt logo too

Hahahaha. Me and Spacer are pretty good friends and in his story im the much smarter friend, not the dumb one. It was real scary when he got shot. I heard him yell and was scared to death. At first we both thought it was shock from the cold. However when he continued to yell i started to yell two. I gave Buie (the dumb friend) a huge verbal thrashing and made sure he felt real bad. Unfortuanetly i dont think hes learned his lesson. Just as a little background info on this guy his past record of injuries is as follows. Once in 2nd grade he got oil on a kid and tryed to light him on fire. Once in Boy Scouts he made this bomb with a sprite bottle and some combustable materilas. A younger scout was holding it to his face and was like wow its smoking. BOOM it goes off causing the kid causing some light face burns. About a month ago he shot him self in the hand with a pellet pistol, it went about halfway through his hand. To avoid having his parents find out and take all of his many guns he dug it out himself with some pliers. Thats gotta be safe, i bet those were dissinfected pliers, haha. Then of course he just recently shot spacer at the park. Man that was scary. Later yall.

Well...I have been shot in the kneck before yes...Im not gonna lie..It hurt a bit and I was worried. But I still will not wear a kneck protecctot. I hate them..It makes my kneck feel funny.

i've been shot there a few times...once i almost had to go to the hospital cuz my adam's apple almost collagsed..not good..but yea...the first time it wasn't too bad, second time left a welt..third time i almost had to go to the hospital and couldn't breathe for a while..

Spacer/Drako-You guys are nuts. I recently played rec-ball with a bunch of newbies. At the end of the day we were cleaning up when kid A said something to kid B. Kid B shot him in the mouth from about 2 ft. Kid A was stunned w/2 loose teeth, broken lip & gems Spitting paint chips & blood. After awhile Kid A (slightly recovered and PO'd)decided he would unload on Kid B. I managed to get his gun away before he actually hit em. I told him to punch him in the head because it would be simple assault and probably wouldn't get him any jail time or make the local news. He decided that he had postured enough at that time and settled down. Anyhow, we don't play with these kids anymore. I play rec-ball alot and hate the way all kinds of bad behavior is tolerated just because we want to play.

I understood what you meant though, the adam's apple is one of those "less than fun" places to get shot. I can think of 2 other... well it's sorta a 2 in 1 thing...

Yes. Why? because the other day a guy shot me 4 times in the cup with an angel. If I hadnt been wearing a cup, things wouldnt be so good for me
