I just saw a preview for the next episode of Tactical to Practical and it'll be featuring paintball. I'm interesting to see how they manage to say paintball comes from the military... :P

Well AGD(Tom Kaye) makes paintball guns for the military for combat training so he might mention that. That would be cool if they did that.

The United States Military has been utilizing paintball technology to train international forces for longer than most of you guys have been potty-trained. At the Dept. of Defense Website (dod.mil I THINK) there i a picture in the archives of an American soldier armed with a Tippmann 98 (or Prolite, but I am pretty sure it is a 98) who is engaged in manuevers with the Turkish forces armed equally. The reason is simple: it teaches basic tactics and strategy without having to worry about calibrating gear. MILES gear (the laser tag stuff) is not internationally used so sometimes paintball allows various nations to work together and simulate combat tactics, especially in urban envrionments.

Save yourself the hassle of watching a crcok of crap, just read this. ;)

I dont like tactical to practical that much...besides i think i saw that episode...its some cop talking about a very old pump gun which uses a 10 round ammo tube...he has no idea what paintball is...and he thinks hes holding advanced top secret technology...it would be funny to show him an angel

OMG... This "world champion" said his tank was "nitrous" and that his Ricochet was a "force feeder". Oh great. Just now the host got hit in the mask then took it off. Wonderful... That's all I saw. I'll see if I can catch the reest later tonight.

That's what I was going to say! When he said nitrous he kind of stopped and was like ahh. That guy was supposed to be a pro too.:laugh: Hunter Ellis got shot like 50 times but kept playing, when he got gogged he took off his goggles!:rolleyes:

P.S. If you see a rerun of this don't watch it.

Beat me to it. That was pretty pitiful. But atleast they had some ok guns. But the world champion was a retard. He was all like
"And this is one of the best guns on the market, with a nitrous tank, or you could always use CO2, and a force feed hopper."
Pretty bad for a world champ, but Cmon guys, give it some credit. I thought it would be much worse. I thought theyd use some shop goggles and like...a talon or something.

Overall, I was pretty disappointed. The "action" sequence was obviously staged. (Think about trying to get those camera angles in a real game). I could have lived with that but they only mildly discussed safety. Think about whenever they have scuba or power tools on and they really stress the safety aspect....in this bit the host takes his goggles off right after getting gogged! Although it was probably done by someone off-camera with only a single paintball loaded, the general public doesn't know that. It just irritates me when they break safety rule #1 so there bit looks good on camera...

I'd like to have just one show use some real tournament footage.....
