I was thinking (yes, this is possible) maybe instead of using squegees(sp?) there would be a teflon (the non-stick surface on pots and pans) insert in the barrel. So whenever you get a ball brake, you just point your gun downward and the paint will just slide out. Instead of all those little bumps that you see on the pans, it would be just a flat surface. Ideas and feedback would be great, thanks in advance.

P.S Please dont flame me about this, considering i just thought of the idea recently.

there are companies that can put a teflon coat inside your barrel.

Somehow I think an uneven coat of powder would hurt way more than help and come off in a few shots.

Yeah, it would be wise to make your barrel with the least amount of friction possible. So I'm pretty sure the teflon is an old idea.

I was thinking having the interior of the barrel be made of glass (Outside be made of metal, for durability purposes). It'd be ultra hard to make it VERY smooth though.... Even with factory parts.

a glass coating could be made relatively easy.

just get your barrel, heat it up till it is really hot. pour liquid glass inside. Spin the barrel at a high speed so the glass is forced evenly along the inside surface of the barrel and have the barrel slowly and steadily cool down while this is happening. That would harden the glass.

The only problem would be honning it. So the only hard part would be putting the right amount of glass in the barrel

teflon would actually be better than glass, but what about an all glass barrel that would look sick, but one of those high impact glasses, are there any durable enough?

Glass flows like a liquid, just VERY VERY slowly. Look at old windows. The middle and upper of the window is noticable thinner than the bottom. That and it shatters very quickly if it is not molded properly or hit with any degree of force.
