A nitro tank of any kind, whether it be a thread in or an adjustable. And an in-line reg. Gladiator or the Centerflag. And a good barel.

Don't forget the motorized loader! :D Personally I like the Shocktech DF.

A low cost option would be to use a gas thru grip and a drop forward. I like Psycho Ballistics for both, with colors to match the gun.

A Crossfire preset tank with an output pressure of 450psi works very well for the Timmy and prevents you from needing a secondary inline reg. This is probably one of the most affordable setups and it works very well.

Drop Forwards:

Crossfire Tank:

All you'll need is the hose and fittings to connect them. I use a 6" hose, one 90-degree connector elbow and one 45-degree connector elbow to complete the setup. You can see a photo at:

That's actually a great setup, and in the future if you want to do the LP mod you can buy an inline reg. The intimidator works very well without the LP mod too, it's personal preference. I shot my timmy nonLPed for about 4 months and had no problems :)

I'm using Ashcroft 300psi gauges. I would have preferred micro gauges, but I can't find any that are lower than 600psi.

Here's a link to the Ashcroft gauges:

They definitely make it easy to dial in the marker. They also help prevent you from raising the pressure too high.

For paint, the stock barrel shoots most paint pretty well. I usually shoot team colors for messing around. Whatever tourney I'm in, they're usually FPO so I shoot whatever they use. If you have a choice and want the best available, try the new JT paintballs. They're the best I've ever used.

I put a nickel plated bigshot (cocker threads) on my gun. It gives me a wider variety of paint options. The bigshot shoots almost every paintball well.

Thanks

Just curious county, how old is your website? Was it professionally made? Just think it needs a little sprucing up is all :D

And why is he pimping his shiat here? Is this a market? Would I like fries with that?

No offence, man, but go pay for advertisement like the rest of the competition. Using a forum is just lame.

Because Mike contributes to discussions about intimidators with helpful advice and I dont see a problem with what he's doing. If someone wants a suggestion on barrels a member is allowed to post a barrel suggestion and a link to where they can buy it, he's not going to be disallowed that privilege just because he owns the site he's reffering people to. If people spam threads that are irelevant and no more than "Hey, buy my stuff threads" it will be deleted, I dont see that I've needed to do that yet

Thanks Twitcho. and for the record, I DO pay advertising fees here.

My site is about 3.5 years old. I know it's not ultra fancy, but I prefer it that way. Not everybody is on fast cable modems yet, so I prefer fast loading to a lot of flashy eye candy. Most of my customers have agreed. Of course, you can't please everyone, so I just try to please the majority. :)

im new to timmys so dont laugh...
What exactly is the LP mod??? Is it just adding on a front reg??

Scott Misfits

It's actually taking one of them away. The timmy comes with two regs. They are the things that look like mini barrels. You take the top one out and change a few parts around in it. Then you add an inline reg. You set your on marker reg at about 85 psi (mines at 80psi) and your inline reg at 200psi. You should be set.

so it only costs as much as the reg to make it LP? cool

It already is Low pressure stock. The gun fires at around 250 psi out of the box, the LP mod just lowers this even more, to around 180psi

I have a question in here too, right now i have a 88cu 3000psi preset PE nitro tank and i was thinking about going to a timmy and i was wondering what a good reg to get would be and where online to get it and how to set it up

Scott Misfits

Any high flow, low pressure reg such as the Gladiator and the Centerflag. Those are really the two that I suggest. I know how they work. They are both awsome. Bob Long's Ironmen had a Mac Dev sponsorship last year and they were using the gladiators. This year they are using the Centerflag. Even if they were sponsered, the products would have to work good for them to use them. I personally use the Gladiator.

i would get either a centerflag inline or an aka sidewinder

ya, i have to go with the glad too, because i have one and love it!!! . . . . i think it could use a cleanin though

Just remember to clean your glad out. They hate dirt (like most other inline regulators...).
I think Mike's site rawks...He has decent pics of the stuff, a lot of shops have thumbnail sized pictures that can't be resized.

Hey guys, 2 things? will the glad have normal wear/tare if i use a preset? and... it is a good forgrip?

Scott Misfits
10-15-2001, 07:21 PM
Just make sure to plug your ASA when your tank isn't on the marker and the Glad will get normal wear and tear. I love how comfortable it is. It feels like most gas thru's. I don't like holding the gauge or the input when I hold my marker. That made the Glad a good choice for me.
