help me decide something

for my 98 custom I have a 14" jj two piece with a benchmark expansion chamber and i'm thinking of painting it a dark blue metallic and I was wondering if anyone else has done this or has done it a different color. what kind of paint do I buy and I ve heard of clear coating it will it make it shiny or what will so if you can help please do

Well I am not advising you to paint it, but if you really want to you can and it really won't hurt the preformance of the gun. Just make sure you prime the body and go in smooth fluid motions. And yes a clear coat will make it shine a little more and also protect the painted layer from chipping and other wear like that.
