By changing and upgrading what parts will help a spyder's all around perfomance? I know for instance that a better barrel makes a gun more accurate, and that a x chamber or reg makes it more consisdent. But what else?:|

Well, it depends on how much you want to spend and how far you want to take paintball.

I put a Ricochet 2k, Dye Aluminum and I use a 68/3000 psi PMI. The thing shoot like a dream.. no regs or x-chamber. I only recommend this if you plan on getting another gun in the future because you can use the motorized loader and N2 tank on any other gun.

You wouldn't believe how well it shoots. I get plus minus 5-7 fps. Pretty freaking good for a spyder. The breaks are minimal and the things just humms.. its sounds great.

But if you just want an x-chamber.. get a 6 stage if you're going to spend the money, Lapco barrels are very good for the value.
At any rate, a motorized loader is always a good investment.

For the most performance for the money I would go in this order, Barrel, Revvy, HPA, some kind of trigger job, and a reg. After that it starts costing more and the performance increases get less definite.

I'm thinkin a reg would be more important than HPA...so if your short on cash go for the reg first (well, after a barrel and maybe the revy depending on how fast you shoot)
If you are planing on getting a high end HPA system that can single reg (maxflow, A.I.R) then you dont really need a second reg.

i doubt he is going to get a tank that costs more than twice as much as his gun (air, maxflow) on my shutter i just put a lapco big shot (got one on my bushy too ;) ) on it and i was happy with the performance. a revvy is always good to have, i wish i had invested one too, hehe.

heh, true, but ya never know :)
Getting a used WGP reg + aftermarket barrel would cost under $100 and give you a big performance boost...
