DEFINATELY an expansion chamber, some type of cocking system (Full Boar or Rocket Cock), and those are really the only "basic" upgrades w/o taking his gun to the full auto level. If he wants to make it full auto, he could burn around $100 for the Response Trigger, but if you have the money to waste paint like that, I'd say save up some more and buy a better gun. Not that the M98 isn't a good gun, I love mine, but if you are into full auto, get an Angel, Cocker, or Bushy.

I forgot about drop fowards or remotes. Those are pretty cool and help lighten/distribute the weight of your gun.

people dont buy electronic guns because of the full auto, i own a bushmaster and havent even tried out any modes besides semi. on most fields (every field i know) full auto is illegal. there is more to guns than just semi or full auto . . . and cockers arent full auto

Whoops...Open mouth and insert foot. I just realized when I looked at your gun setup @ the bottom of ur post that you already have a cocker. Well now, guess you can just delete my posts, I just assumed this was for an M98 as most of the posts on the Tippmann board are. Sorry.

He stated that this stuff was for his brother not him.

Anyways I have seen a lot of mods for the 98. You can get the forstock and a remote, the flatline but it all really depends on what type of game he wants to play. Speedball or woods...You can defenately play both with either type of setups but he should base his decision on what he plays most often. If he plays speed ball he should get a nice dropforward, a nice aftermarket barrel like a boomstick or a lapco bigshot. something to that extent.

you DONT NEED an x chamber

the only things that you realy should get for the m98

new barrel
drop forward
trigger job
also an anti siphon would be good to

also i suggest the full boar shadow
also for fun an RT would be good for about $80 not $100

What? You don't need a trigger job for a 98.

I think that an Expansion Chamber is a good investment. You get alot more shots (the M98 is a gas hog).

New barrel DEFINATELY. I personally recomend the Smart Parts All American.

Get the new triger job, a rear cocking system (full boar is great!). also a uprade I like on my gun is Lapco makes a Power Feed for the M98. So if you don't have a agitated hopper it means
1: More balls will feed so you can maintain a faster rate of fire.
2: It eliminates that annoying hopper shake on the standard M98 Feed
3: give's it a "cool" efect wich is always good ;)

I don't think the reactive triger is a nesessity. If you are really serious about paintball then yes. But it's not worth spending all that money on. After the simple upgrades. it's all about how good the player is.

Remeber....The Player matters...not the gun...

(but having an upgraded gun does help heheh)

Hope I helped....:eyes:
