Ok. as you might know i just got my bushy. i shot it in my backyard over the chrono and was consistant in the 280 neighborhood. i just went to play a tourney yesterday and when i was at their chrono before it started i couldnt get the velocity over 255. i screwed the screw all the way in, all the way out and everything in between and it either went down to the 180's or up to 255 and no higher. i kinda had to lob a few shots and was suprised because i was shooting across the little field behind my backyard just fine. would the stock reg have anything to do with this problem. would getting a new asa and glad reg or getting the vapor mod help this problem?? my gun is totally stock(except for stickies) as of now, i ordered 2 custom products 1 peice barrels. what should i do. and lastly in the vapor mod do they rethread the barrel threads to cocker??? if so i dont know if ill get it unless i can find someone to buy the cp's. thanks

If ur selling ur CPs ill buy em tell me what length, bore, and color.
Also are u using an adjustable tank?
What was your input pressure on the tank and the reg?

On a stock bushy the tank input should be 500psi and the reg should be set at around 350psi

350 psi is kind of alot of pressure for a bushmaster. It sounds like your reg needs to be higher. I would start it out at about 250 psi. If you have a buddy or a pro shop around with a ram guage set it to about 90psi. If you dont go to www.obdo.net to learn how to better set up your gun. Lots of good info there probably answer all your questions.

thanks, i am borrowing a bottle from my boss until mine gets fixed and his low pressure gauge is screwed up so it was reading lower than the actual input to the gun. i got it all taken care of. what do you guys think about the vapor mod or gettin sonic asa and gladiator

Id get the vapor mod. The stock reg works for me at 2+/- most of the time. If you wanna upgrade get a Wet Worx bolt or Low Pressure internals and a wider trigger

ICD can rethread your bushy to cocker threads. I ordered my 2002 B2K from them and got the cocker threads. It cost $65 i think.

Why didn't you just get a Defiant if you had tons of cocker barrels???

The vapor mods are good, so are sonic products. there is a vapor trigger you can get, i'm presonally leaning towards the ripper frame. t's an entire grip frame and it comes w/ the old flat blade trigger. looks very slick and very comfortable.

i think your problem might be due to the output pressure from the hpr, or maybe you have a shellfragment lodged in your bolt:rolleyes: it's actually happened to me before, i couldn't figure out why my velocity was so low and in consistent until i was cleaning my bolt that night.

>Oleander- maybe he's one of the many people who likes bushmasters more than defiants, and maybe he didn't want to pay more for stuff he didn't think was worth it. even still, what's the use of bringing it up now? he already has the bushy and he's already found a solution.

i got the bushy instead of defiant because it was cheaper and easier for me to get. oh well, it works now, thanks

450$ for a bushmaster 2k

550$ for a defiant

ICD will rethread for 40$.. so yah i guess it is cheaper to go w/ a bushy and buy it w/ autococker threads (like rich did)

cause i do agree, that the defiant has extra crap parts that just raise the price, that you dont even need
