Hey for all you pump players out there this thread is for you!

When you are playing with a pump against other pumps...or semi's...what are your tacticts with a very limited rate of fire?

Learn to be a great snap shot. When you pop out of your cover be ready to fire. Try to aim before you come out. And play smarter than your opponent. Pump players are often smarter because they have to use there limmited fire power effectivly. You have to get kinda sneeky too.

I played several games with a BE blade against several semi totting newbies and when I got into close quarters with them where I became outmatched for firepower, I screamed at them to surrender. It worked on a few occasions too as long as I yelled really loud and sounded really menacing. I wouldn't normally recommend this since it is kind of a lousy way to win and doesn't normally work if the opposition knows you only have a pump.

Advice, don't use a Blade and you won't get in that trouble.

Yeah I know. I just wanted to test to see if that old arguement holds true, "the gun doesn't matter, skill does". Having a little bit of both seems to be the best solution.

Stay far far away from everyone, nah, j/k. Snap shooting is good, you can rely on skill to pull you through. Don't get pinned down and choose your bunkers well.

THE one tactic i have personally learned about playing pum is that you cannot stay in the back and be sfraid o the ball. I live n hawaii and i've gone to fields where people play with phantoms against angels. I've seen phantom players rush three angels jump over a bunker barrel tap one then get litten up. But the point is that these players don't fear the ball and that' how you sucessfly win using a pump.

I know this guy named jesse. We live on hawaii and we go to peal city high school. We have just attented the macy's thanksgiving parade. This person i know is a junior and the co-founder of the pearl city highschool paintball club and an amazing pump player. He once rushed with a blade taking out half the opposing team bcause he wasn't afraid of the ball's hittig him. I've also seen him tae a one on three
Jesse
-Blade
-fifty balls

me
-Black magic autococker
-Swing trigger
-68 CI carbon fiber nitro tank
-12V revolution hopper
-4 pods

Other guys
-Spyder shutter esp trigger frame
-Nitro tank
-12V revolution hopper
-Phantom

But this guy jesse has the same playing time as me five years and he also knows my weakness i never look behind me. So he flanked me and instead of takng a chance o shooting and missing me he barrel tapped me. The other guys were newbies and were taken out easily by him. The poin here is never fear being hit and always use tactics when playing pump. Jesse is the person who goes by magnus55.

I turn my pumps lcd screen to full auto and hold down the trigger and pump 10-20 shots into them :)

painball guns are not the most accurate guns so the best tactic for sniping with a pump gun with auto trigger is just as you pull back the trigger start pumping while still holding down the trigger this works in most situations you should shoot 2 balls with amazing speed(sometimes faster than a semi)

gun setup

pmi traccer
16inch barrel
9oz co2
cut down low profile hopper

I like to kinda lurk around the field, stealthily of course, and thne wiat for them to turn thier heads and then take a shot at them. It usually works too since, of course, with thier heads turned, they don't see you. I have neven been successful rushing a groupd of players with Cockers and Angels simply because thye light you up nad hurl a case of paint at you within five seconds. You have to learn to be sneaky

yeah, is it possible for a gunsmith to take the case of a blade and turn it into a nice semi? and put a decent barrel on it? cause i would LOVE to bring that to a field. oh, sure they'd all laugh, until they have paint on them.

WTF is sgt Cartman talking about. Never pump twice unless you want a chamber break. Sgt Cartman is like ten yearss old and should not be giving advice.

Never pump twice!!!!

When you have someone bunkered(and they are not looking) go sneak to a better position and try and flank them. If they have absolutely no idea where you went wait for them to come out and blaze them or sneak up on them and blaze him.

Ok obvously 1/2 of u r idiots and and other 4th think pumps r have lcds.... But the best tactics is stealth, accuracy, and only shoot if they is one of them. if there is a group get behind them and take VERy good aim.

Actually SGT Cartman is right. That tactic works, well with most pumps anyways. You can hold down the trigger and pump continuiously, and get roughly 3-4bps making your pump gun equivalent to a semi in firepower for a short period of time. Makes your arm tired as hell though. I've done it with talons and blades before, some other pumps might have limitations. And I'm pretty sure it's not so good for your gun's internals.

NO i mean like when you are not holding down on the trigger. When you pump twice without holding down the trigger. You shoot 2 balls, but they almost always break. Sometimes I do it by accident. It screws u over.

All tactics on all gun should be identical. Take as many people out as you can using as little paint. You just have to use different levels of caution. A Pump player shoudl use EXTREME caution because most lickley if they find you then you have to be even more accurate have make a hastley retreat. With a semi or an auto you can fight your way out most of the time unlike with a pump when you have a less chance of fighting your way out. Plus you can't give cover fire as easaly.

probally the best tactic is to have another man with u so went u fire he fires a shot when you're pumpin (Vice Versa)

this is ocassionally called the British Manuver

Gato, Carbine is 16 yrs old. He has a pump. Some of the crao he siad is BS but the best thing to use in stealth, I can get close to the enemy and shoot from 10 ft away.
