I know most of this forum is about Cockers and such. But since WGP does make the Sniper II and III, i was wondering...wich do you think is better (for those of you that own them) and what are the pros and cons of having each one?

ps. Pump players are manly (but people with cockers are still DAMN COOL!!!!)

sniper 2, if only for looks... the pump looks MUCH better under the barrel... the 3 just looks plain silly... or get a chipley'd sniper 3 w/the under-barrel pump.... very sexy... want to pick up one for my Mo, only it would look SO out of place w/that eclipse frame LOL double trigger on a pump... rrrrright ^_^

Cosmetically most people prefer the under the barrel pump of the Sniper II. I own a '98 sniper II and the problem with these guns are inconsistent velocity (needs a regulator). You will need to really practice shooting with this gun to get good timing for those sticky situations when you need to fire fast (there is no autotrigger). You should purchase the gun that you think looks cooler, as I believe both guns perform the same.

sniper II because you cant convert a sniper III to a cocker

Yah...do you think Phantom out-performs a Sniper?

So a Sniper II sounds like the one huh? I don't really want to convert it into a cocker either...I'd just buy a cocker (if I had the money which I don't) if I wanted one... hehe

thanks for your input

yes you can, it would just be a minicocker...

penguin- if you're going to get into stock class play (and everyone knows how much hawaii folk love stock class 'ball) you might be better off going w/the phantom... more modular design gives you better options on setup, incl. stock class. they're also a done deal, no need for regs, aftermarket barrel, etc.
Don't get me wrong, snipers rock, and have a MAD upgrade path, but I'd prefer shooting a phantom... which I do, from time to time... phantoms just don't *need* any kind of aftermarket ^_^

alright thanks...yah I have a Phantom (well almost gotta pay the past owner the money!) and have shot one. I was just wondering if the Sniper II was any better. I'm going with the Phantom tho. thanks for the input

a sniper would shoot just like a similarly equipped cocker, only slower ^_^ Since I'm big into stock, I went phantom, also. but I'm seriously considering a chipley pump setup for my cocker for some pump play, since I'm used to how the gun shoots and points... sometimes the phantom will still throw me off since it's so tiny and light
