i been having this .... leak, it is blowing out of the pressure releif valve ( the brass nut type thing on the regulator body of the max flow) . there is a little circle that sticks up on the top of that brass piece, and it kinda lifts up and air blows out from underneath it. does anyone kno why? also, when i screw in my tank, , there is a leak from the little hold on the side of the screw in part of my kapp drop zone. sometimes a big leak, sometimes small, sometime no leak. im clueless? any help would be much appreciated. thanx guys

What pressure are you running at?

the brass thing is your pressure release valve, when your pressure goes above 250 psi it blows this means your running too high of pressure it should be set around 280. As for the fitting just take it out clean it but some loc tite on it and screw it back in. wait about 30 minutes before you air up agian see if it leaks then

Hints for using loctight:

1) If you do not have Superman-like strength, only use blue.

2) Use it and don't mess with the part for 24 hours. Let the stuff dry.

well i have a gauge and its a kapp micro gauge, it has a mark where 200 psi is, and the guage arrow does not go over that, so i wouldnt beleive that this is the cause,

why dont you have your smart parts guage on there ? The only reason that thing blows is if the pressure is over 250 so unless that part is fualty your over 250 psi

well the reason is, my shop technician has a problem, when u order say a new reg , hesll install it and keep all ure old parts and not give em back. when i bought the impulse from him he put my vertical maxflow on the mount, and took off the stock gauge for some odd reason, when i asked for him to put one on, he put on a kapp micro gauge and it seemed to be working fine and it still is, the arrow is indicating under 200 psi. is it cause i need to clean and grease my reg? and as for the screw in where my tank goes? air leaks out of it, do i need an o-ring in there even tho i have an on/ff? im confused. by the way, do u know how to color dye sticky grips with RIT dye?

Check your tank Oring and make sure that it is in good shape.

As for the PRV. Take it off and use an air compresser and blow it out good. Clean it up and see if that helps. If it does not then I reccomend you get a new one. I also recommend you getting a SP gauge. The are a lot easier to read.
