I have the original PGP and I would strongly recommend it as a back-up. It's compact, has a sturdy brass design and will get you out of almost any jam, within reason. ( don't try to take out a sniper tower or anything like that.)
The bad news is you only have 10 shots, use them extremely carefully.
Dont Buy The PGP 2, my friend opedted against the original and is very disapointed now with his decison.
99$ is about the average price and is pricey for a back-up but your getting the best
Buy it, it will never break down and become your best friend

I have some parts to an old PMI piranha pump(everything but 2 screws and the grip). It was like the PGP but longer(barrel and pump., it looks like one of palmers guns but it's brass and the pump was 2 the length of the PGP. If any of you would be interested, let me know. I dont want much, they are just crap laying around my house. Later, oh, and you also has an ASA adapter.

palmer's guns are still brass, just nickle plated...
you can probaby find a used PGP in the ballpark of $50, or maybe less... search on classified boards or ebay, local stores, etc. got mine for $25

if i were you and were going to pay 70 bucks for pgp, i would just get a PTEnforcer mainly b/c of the semi action. I have a PTXtreme and i love it is excellent but pricey.
PGP's are GREAT markers!!!! but they are HEAVY! they may not seem like it but lugging one of them around all day is NOT fun! Heck even one of those 3357's got too heavy! I dont know how heavy a ptextreme but as for a back up is really unnecessary on a regular rec games! maybe if you are going on a 24 hour seniaro or something that you dont go back to a staging area..
dont kill youself!
