You dont pull the trigger all the way back and forward, on an autococker this is extremely important because you get ball jams like that. Dont know how it works for a mag, the workings are a bit different.

Short stroking is the same for any gun - when you pull the trigger it goes through a series of movements which buy the end of the pull (when their is no pressure applied any more) the marker would be ready for another shot.

If you short stroke a gun it means that you have pulled the trigger again before it has finished the first trigger pull.

On mags it simply cops balls

Let me say it. I have a cocker i know. When you pull the trigger on a cocker the bolt goes back and when you let go of the trigger the bolt goes forward. Now when you only pull the trigger half way well guess what the bolt goes less than halfway pinching a ball and SPLAT!!! With a mag you over stoke like ciaran said.

If you have an autococker short stocking is not activating the 3 way completely or long enough for the bolt to open all the way or long enough for a ball to drop completely into the chamber.

This happens when you get excited and start to try to shoot real fast and just don't quite pull it all the way to open the bolt.

The result is hopefully a 'Jam' with a ball caught between the bolt, ball feed chute, and chamber.

This is why the guys with adjustable front regulators set them a minimal pressure to recock the marker reliably. You can pull back on the bolt and clear the jam.

If the pressure in the ram is too high, you get the other outcome. The bolt will close with enough force to 'chop' a ball in half, makes a mess in you marker followed by being shot by your opponent.

That is the inherent weakness of the autococker.
But with a little practice, a properly timed marker, a short stoke 3 way and the inherent accuracy of an autococker more than makes up for it. The new swing triggers are real nice too.

Me I just put full auto on it. If I need to shoot REAL fast, I push the full auto button.

Yeah....full auto...that guys has the right idea man...haha...i want one! And you can practically eliminate short stroking with a hinge...or some porn...althought with the first you end up chopping b/c you outshooting your hopper...lol
