ok bad news guys i just found out about a kid buyin a paintball gun to shoot birds and probably other stuff that wont make us paintballers have a better name.:pissed: kids like him piss me off. i just wanna take out in a feild and paint him a new color. ok sorry i just needed to get that out.:o

That's not true at all. I've walked through downtown to a park to play softball carrying a bat in my hand and hardly got a second glance.

Because your generation is filled with a bunch of idiots whose parents dumped them off in a daycare (for someone else to raise, guide and teach right from wrong. Which doesn't happen when you expect someone else to care if your child grows up to be a decent person) so mom and dad could both drive Mercedes, and live in the right neighborhood. This is a BIG reason why your generation is so screwed up. Use to be if two kids had a problem, they'd meet after school on the playground and settle it. These days they bring bats, guns, knives, etc. to school and have NO REGARD for right or wrong, again because they've got sorry parents that don't give a rip about them. We used to carry bats to school everyday, and nobody thought anything about it.:D

Well, that came out of nowhere.

To be honest, I think the fact that people do use weapons in fights have lessened the amount of fights in schools. I mean back in the older generations (this is gathered from stories from my teachers, parents and other adults) kids could get beat up on a daily basis and have their lunch money stolen from them every day and this was no big deal. The picked on kids would go with black eyes and bloody noses, and thats just the way things were.

I mean just look at the media, violence in school is in countless older movies, but violence like that appears less and less in the modern ones. But now barely anyone fights, because theres always that fear that someone will take it too far and use a weapon to kill someone. There are no gangs where I live, so that may be part of why I feel this way, but gangs have been around just as long as the violence.

ok i started this thread just to say that some guy is buying a paintball gun to shoot birds and probably cars and stuff. that kinda made me mad cuz it gives paintball a bad name. yeah for all u who ask "who cares what people think about paintball?" i care because i cant just find an empty field here and play paintball without getting my gun taken away by the cops. i know its different where u guys live thats just how it is here. when i started this thread if i knew it was going to attract a bunch of dickheads who are just gonna try and argue i wouldnt have started it. i dont wanna argue with anyone i just wanted to see what other people had to say about it but outta nowhere people started being a-holes . sorry for anyone that i made mad by making this thread :)

Well, if you weren't so ignorant, you would all care.

Paintball gets a bad rap = the cities are less likely to allow paintball fields to be opened up = less fields to play on = prices go up and it's harder to get insurance for a new field.

And not caring about this kind of behavior is not much different than condoning it.

wow, that'd be different: having a field and all... up here in western nebraska we just drive any direction for 20 minutes and we have ourselves a new place to play... of course it's free and there's really no need for insurance... you signed the disclaimer when you pick up a paintball gun around my friends.
