Bore size and accurracy

How much does paint to barrel match really matter. For closed bolt markers, it acts as a detent. But i'm under the impression that with open bolt it doesn't matter as long as the barrel is bigger than the paint. Does it actually affect accuracy that much? Is it even enoguh to notice?

Paint to barrel match affects accuracy more than the barrel itself. The most important part to accuracy is the paint to barrel match.

to me a more consistent set up would be key.

Even if you have a consistent setup, if your paint to barrel match is bad your accuracy is going to be bad.

like coolt said it plays a large part, but its not going to fix all your problesm with accuracy, but its still worth the trouble in most cases.
