I'm torn... I've hit that stage where I need to decide to keep my BKO or upgrade to a b2k or later. I've upgraded a bunch of stuff including valve, barrel, frame, HPR and the like. but all my upgrades so far are transferable to a b2k. Next I was going to get a zenitram asa adapter and lpr, but if I'm going to get a b2k why bother? I just don't know what to do... I know that b2k's have more potential, but I like my bko a lot...
I'm just not sure what would be a better idea anymore...

Capt,
Ask yourself... do you want a B2K for an increase in performance? or just for a change.
Then, once you've answered that, then ask yourself, "is it worth it"....
Once you've answered those questions.... you've come to the conclusion, "grasshopper". :)

Basically I comes down to one thing...are you an upgrade freak?
I am so I went from my tricked BKO to tricking out a B2K. Im glad I did and I love the PDS on my B2K.
The only reason I would get the b2k is if you want to try something different.
While the BKO is very similar to the B2K, they are different.

Imp, when you say they are different, in you opinion, is it more of the feel of the gun thats different or the performance? Because I know the biggest performance difference is B2k has 4solenoid while bko has 2.

Jwong - You're wicked hardcore
Impya - How do you mean it "feels" different?

As in the shot feels different.
The return by air feels different than the return by a spring. I dont know how to descirbe it, its just different.

I suspect an air return will give it a "snappier" feel. If I can project human emotions onto an marker..... then the B2K's shots would feel more "confident". If the 4 way can cycle faster than the BKO's 2-way, I suspect the air-return would snap the ram back faster... thus a more confident feel.
I don't know.... just a thought.
Capt.... you can't go wrong either way. :) Regardless of your decision, just make sure you stick around these here forums to help us out. :)

aww J, I'm touched. You can bet I'll stick around no matter what. I've owned many a numerous paintball gun and the only ones I've really liked are my BKO and my old old OLD spyder. I'm here to stay :)
I think I understand what you mean by confident though... in a strange way...
Well, I found a good deal on a used b2k so I think I'll transfer my BKO parts over and start anew... thanks you two.

BBBB, I understand what you meant today when you told me that. I say get a B2K to build your self esteem. Now that darn pasty kid with his oh so undeserved timmy will feel the wrath of team tweak. I have already devised a plan, and it shall be executed as soon as my brain stops storming normandy. Darn zee amereecahns!

Yeah bbb, sorry I couldn't spit it out easier. I think I would just feel better with a b2k... I love my beaky, but she's just a bit too twitchy... tweak shall rise...

You could keep posting and posting and posting and never get this thread closed because we don't have a mod (or until someone PM's magnus).

But to get back on topic, I'd say wait for the solenoid upgrade for the BKO, and then BAM!! you got a B2K. Then maybe a new body and PDS and its pretty much no longer a BKO, and will cost less then starting from scratch with a B2K.
