I may be selling my mag to get a bushy and I was just wondering if a 2k with a stock reg will work fine on a preset PMI 68ci 3000psi tank. I heard bushies hate preset tanks, so... Grrrr, should have got a bushie, would have saved me tons of money that I'm losing selling my mag.

Just for future reference you should read through the posts. You will find your answers if you look for them. However... You can use a preset but the stock regs on the older models are not reccomended for it. I have a 3rd gen that I run a preset on and it works great, but I had to get a vigilante reg for it because the stock reg kinda crapped out on me after using it for a while. I know the new 5th gens can run on preset, and I THINK the 4th gen Bushys do well on a preset as well, but like I said look around to find more details. Also, one major benefit of the adjustables is the efficiency. You really do get a lot less shots per tank out of a preset. Just something to keep in mind....

Any new ones from stores will do decent on a preset if you clean the reg. I run a preset.

Get a PMI T.H.O.R Cradle at xpaintball.com for 75$ or 90 $ at a pro shop. It turns your PMI into an adjustable

If it's an older model/reg you can just buy a new spring for $10 and have it working good.
I know SandStorm, I've been thinking the same thing. I might just sell my 70-200 2.8 lens for $1K and buy an Angel :goody:

if you have a new reg on it (like i have ;) ) than you can run a preset fine, or if you have a, i think its 4th gen., or newer you can run presets, or just get a stiffer spring. i think the best thing to do would be just get a new reg, i like my glad :D p.s. - i got preset too . . .

I'm thinking about not only selling my mag but saving a few more paychecks so I can afford a 2002 LCD bushy. I already have a 16inch SP AA, 12inch SS Taso, and 8inch stock alley cat barrel :) I can use on a bushy. I'll probably end up getting a CP anyway, but its always a plus having a wide array of barrels. From what I've heard preset tanks will work with the stock ICD reg for about a year then the reg will crap out, by then I should have a new reg anyways. I just need the stock reg to last awhile.
I'm thinking black 2002 LCD, WGP Ergo reg, KAPP Rhino drop(have) w/ CP on/off asa, 68ci steel preset stubby(have), and to top it off putting an 8 inch stock cat barrel on for front play, hehehe. Thats nice for some snap shooting action ;)

ya thats cool, do you like the LCD? for me, i would rather have the extra money for the lcd to spend on upgrades that will help performance, rahter than distract me. thats just my opinion though

Actually your right, the LCD is cool, but not neccessary. So, I think I'm going to go with the bk2 and eventually get the vapor mod done instead. I actually think I would be distacted by that...

Well, I dont think the ICD LCD would be distracting. Its not that great .. It only has shot counter and timer..you just glipse at it since its on the back, right in your face...you dont have to turn the gun over and look at the grip..
But wear a watch and get a clear hopper and you dont need it :)
But I'm getting the Sonic BM2k2.. and you cant get it w/o the LCD :( .. but thats ok.. When i get Chaos upgrades it will make it good.
