as of right now i have the light held on with electrical tape, but will hopefully have 2 barckets which will hold the flash light onto the ptx. heres what i mean for the bracket.

That's cool and all, but a AAA Maglight isn't gonna light more than 2' in front of you. ;)

umm ok but it definitly does for me! mag lights are known for there great light and being able to maek it in a spread light or beam of light, and when ur playing night paintball it works great:)

I have an idea for you.
Does that pistol have screws underneath for a bottomline? Or could you tap the bottom of the grip?
You can get a small piece of aluminum and drill holes in it and screw it to the bottom of your grip, and attach a AA flashlight to it.

now why would i do that when the battery is already in the flashlight i want to keep it a pistol not make it in a tippman! beside i think for the distance that any of these paintball pistols can shoot and shoot accuratly is not over 30' and thats enough light for me:)

lol...the tiny AAA Maglight will never in a million years light up 30 feet. It won't light up 3 feet unless it's absolutely pitch black. I have one on my keychain. :P
At least the AA light puts out some useable light. I have a couple of those too.

Yeah, adding a thin piece of aluminum is gonna make it a Tippmann!
I wouldn't even call taping a flashlight to a gun a custom mod.

well i will be making brackets for it, beside the flash light didnt just come with the wires sticking out the back and a nice small button attached also! i think its a pretty good mod

I was trying to be nice...but truthfully, I think it's lame and pointless. :P

not if u play paintball whens its dark out, and besides they make these for the zues as well, u just have to pay like 60 bucks for them

But it isn't held on with tape.. :)

well mine wont be held on with tape either just havent had time to go to home depot or to make a custom brackets
ehhhh... i think there is a reason the zeus ones cost $60, mainly because if i recognize the flashlight from the picture that's in their mount, well if its the one i think it is, well lets just say its a LOT brighter than the AAA mag, and in my opinion if your light isn't bright enough to have at least a somewhat blinding effect on a person when you shine it on them, you shouldn't hook it to your gun, because it will just act as a sign that says "shoot me", if its not connected to your gun at least you can hold it out aways from you so that when the person starts madly firing at the light there is less chance of hitting you... but that's just my opinion....... take it as you wish........

i dont see how differant the ones that comes on the zeus is any differant from the one it is on my gun, i almost pretty sure there the same type, but its ur opinion, besides it was a project that i did when i was bored, and when im playing at night and being able to see and not step in a hole and kill myself ill be happy

pretty neat. i would think about buying a LED flashlight. they are really bright and compact. that would solve your light problem. also think about putting a flip cap on the light so that when up it dims the beam so that its hard to see. make it like a blue lens or red then when you spot someone flip the lens and full brightness in their face. or you could just invest in a nice set of night vison goggles. but if you play at night there is a game called predator ive heard of. where one person is the predator and the rest are prey. the prey all wear glow sticks like one on each arm or something so they are visible 360*. the predator doesnt wear anything. the prey are trying to get the predator and whoever does becomes the predator. of course when the predator tags someone out they could be out for good or have to wait for a non tagged prey to come tag them in or something.

It's ok..Maybe you could use one of those smaller LED lights instead? that might work better
yeah, if you just want small compact but somewhat powerful light go with the led's....
