fast enough?

im getting a standard impulse and the newer ones are capped at 20 bps...if i use an eggII will there be any chance of breaking paint (i hae fast fingers) if so how big of a chance?

you won't have much of a problem with your egg, but once i got used to the blade on my rat, it was very easy to out shoot my egg. just buy a haloB or vision.

The non-Vision Impulse is capped at 13Bps, so you will NOT chop with a EVO II, unless you have feed issues which often happen with the last couple balls.

HALO = Better to avoid chops, but can still happen with the last couple.

If your Imp is Vision ready (new Impulse) then get a WAS board when they are released in the next couple weeks.

psh the halo is well, the best hopper ever. wolvy i thought Smart Parts capped the board to 20 bps after March 2003, i might be wrong but i have heard this from everyone.

Smart Parts released some non-Vision boards where the cap was 20, but chenged it back when too many people were having issues. There are not a lot of 20bps non-vision boards out there.

Anything new is almost guaranteed to be a 13bps board.

What kind of problems were people having? I just got mine new and I'm almost positive it is capped at 20bps. I can outshoot my Reloader easily and it feeds around 13 so I'm pretty positive I have a 20bps board.

People were out shooting revy's and did not know why.

Unless you are shooting over a chorono that measures BPS accurately, you are only guessing that you are shooting more than 13bps and that your reloader is feeding that fast.

Umm wolvy, i just got a brand SPANKIN (yes spanking) new impy for christmas, and i can outshoot my evo with brand new batts, i know its not capped at 13.7 (or whatever) because i (and maybe u) can tell when its over 13.7 (or whatever)

by out shooting, do you mean you skip shots, or do you mean you chop or what? i used to have a evoII with my rat and it had a hard time with 13bps sometimes (i do admit that had an early production model though). it could be your evoII is just screwed up.

nah, me and my friend both have evos (his is clear mine is black, big diffrence lol ;)) and i put his on mine (becuase i was thinkin the same) and sure enough, chops and skips!

the manual says its capped at 13.7 bps. i've outshot my reloader multiple times, but thats when i was trying.

me and my friend were just trying to test our trigger fingers so..... i filled my egg with paint and shot at a tree. we had a stop watch and were timing ourselves. i emptyed it in about 11.5 secs. if there were about 175 pballs in my hopper i shot an average of 15.217 bps. and i have a 2k3 impulse. so wouldnt that mean that it is capped over 13?

This is straight from the Smart Parts online manual for the 2002 and newer vision boards....
Rate of Fire
The new Impulse has two default fire rates that cannot be adjusted:
Vision Eye Off: 13.7 shots per second
Vision Eye On: 20 shots per second



So to answer your question....
It's not really a matter of whether or not you will chop since eventually it will hapen. It's a matter of how often. It won't be quite as bad as Crick may have led you to believe.

The Evlution II can keep up with 13.7 bps... as long as the gun and hopper are upright.

The Evlution II won't be able to keep up with 20 BPS.... not that very many people can actually shoot that fast. Plus that is with the eye on, so you will be less likely to chop, thanks to the eye.

and you can buy the z board to go 22 bps, are these ratings

they can shoot, only in bursts, for a max of 22bps. if you can shoot a consistant 20 or so bps you might have problems.
