The one piece UL you are thinking of is a Dye Aluminum which I believe Dye stopped making.

Incorrect people. Do not give this kid misinformation. All the 2004 Dye barrels are 2-piece, but you can find 1-pieces of older versions of the Boomstick, Ultralight, and Excel. The Dye Aluminum was always 1-piece.

technically, there never was a 1-piece UL, just a glued version. there is no performance difference between the two.

Well if you don't considered "glued" to be one piece, then there were no 1 piece Dye Barrels at all, besides the Excel, Stainless Steel, and the Aluminum. The UT and Boomy both had 1 pieces (glued).
P.S. Glued barrels aren't actually "glued." They are molded together perfectly.

Glued barrels could still be taken apart and put back together, just not by any ordinary person, thats how they did it when somebody wanted to get the front of their Boomstick anno'd. And since the barrel was 2 piece, always was, and always will be. Its a 2 piece barrel. Not a one.
