i was thinking about getting a pump gun for rec play and just for fun. what is a good pump gun for under 120? i was thinking sl68 II or maybe if i am lucky a used phantom. can a phantom use a screw in nitro tank? not the stock class ones but the constant air ones.

you should be happy with a phantom. I guess you could use nitro if you wanted to, but CO2 works fine. you might have trouble using it as a back bottle, but if you get a bottomlne setup it will work fine. SL-68 II's are decent guns. I didn't particularly like them when I used them at my local field, but it was in cold weather. Also consider maverick/tracer/hornet/diablo pumps or any other nelson based pump. Sheridan P-68's are also nice and in your price range. I'm not sure that they accept bulk tanks though.

I have a phantom. They are really good guns. I suggest if you are gonna use this pump alot save up the extra money and get a phantom...it's worth it. Then you don't have to upgrade it at all because Phantoms are GREAT right out of the box

A really cheap gun that works pretty decently is the Kingman Hammer. at 888paintball.com you can get it for about 50 dollars. But if you want a little more. GO with the Maverik Delux. then get a new barrel. that's also worth it. Research your gun before you get it

I suggest a phantom

good luck. email me with questions
