walking is where u take 2 fingers and move them back and forth but make them hit at different times so when one hits then the other one hits.

fanning is when u get ur finger and slide it up and down the trigger, hitting the grooves.

this only works with triggers with light and short pulls, very fast but also uncomfortable.

Im not sure, but I think what your thinking of is raking. I think fanning is when you just put your fingers on the trigger and instead of moving your fingers, you just move your forearm back and forth. Usually assosciated with n00bs.

Fanning the Trigger (slang)v.- When a person uses their middle or index finger or both, held strait out to fire the trigger. The entire forearm moves back and fourth rather than just the trigger finger. This allows a person to fire faster because they use their shoulder and forearm muscles, rather than their finger muscles. This style of firing is looked down upon by most paintball players.

I just looked in the paintball dictionary and thats what I found, so yeah I was right. According to the def., some people can shoot pretty fast using that method. I know i couldnt...

Walking- Alteranting Fingers while pulling the trigger, takes some practice.

Raking- moving yourr fingers up and down so that they hit the groove in the trigger and activate it.

Fanning- putting two fingers on the trigger and twitching them back and forth, very effective if you want to reach high ROF, but usually accosiated with being a newb.

When you fan, you arent actually moving your whole arm. You just kind of make your arm twitch repeatedly like it's spasming. If your trigger isnt total trash, you shoot fast.

I'm still clueless of what fanning is.

You tense up your arm so it twitches and your hand moves really quickly. Shoots fast.

Fanning: Take your Index and Middle on your right hand, stick them out (alomst like a fake gun, but your thumb isn't up), and move them back and forth rapidly.

Walking: Take Index and Middle. Walk your fingers arcoss the table. Thats basically the motion you do when you walk.

Raking: Your trigger has to have a hump in it, and almost has to be electro. Move your finger up and down on the trigger, and it will fire. AGD have a hump with a roller ball on it so your finger slides over it.

Hi-res (http://www.webdogradio.us/video/tipclip/WDR31hi.wmv), and lo-res (http://www.webdogradio.us/video/tipclip/WDR31.wmv). That explains them all.

I got a Black Dragun basic, can't walk it, but can fan it and make it go pretty fast. It's the only way sometimes

Are you guys sure? I thought it was like this.

Fanning, using two fingers and alternating which one pulls.

Walking, when you move both fingers back and fourth, but one is infront of the other so that they don't hit the trigger at the same time.

Raking, when you run your fingers over the bump on your trigger.

Just my opinion.

1 out of 3. Not so good.

I've never heard that defintion of walking before but it sounds like a bad idea that wouldn't work at all.

Also, that's not call fannig, it's walking. See, becuase your fingers are alternating like your legs do when you walk? Understand?

Ya I know it sounds more logical, but this is what I heard from one of the guys at a tournament over at my local field.
Maybe they are just weird in VA.

If what I call fanning is really walking, what the hell do they call what I think is walking?

Bah I'm confused.

he fails!...:P

walking: alternating fingers tapping the trigger...

fanning: using one or two fingers to tap the trigger simultainiously...

raking: moving both fingers up and down verticaly to fire when they tap the "hump" in the center of the trigger...
